Ya?? It is a intake air sensor. It tells the computer what temp the air is entering the engine... if you have filter pods, with outerwears and mount the sensor next to them, it wouldnt be any different than if the airbox was still installed... Same sensing perameters. Plus no belt dust will enter the engine because of the filter pod outerwears.
Now the DPM sensor senses altitude (atmospheric pressure), so no matter where you place it, it will still work like it is supposed too.

skippy did you find any performance benifit from the timbersled intake system ?I like that idea and it makes more room to work on things on and off the trail.Plus more air movement under the hood.
