Who has it? Id, Mt, Or??? I know its not here is Wa!! Thinking of a 3-4 day road trip real soon.....who's got the snow? :smow:
Was thinking BC but I think the border will be a mess with the Olympics traffic.

This is a good post. It's about that time of year for a road trip.

I can tell ya, the snow is marginal at best in the McCall area. They have to be a good 4-6 feet below average. I don't believe the brundage info for a second. If they were honest with their numbers they wouldn't have anyone skiing.

So where is the good stuff?

i beg to differ... mccall has almost as much snow now as they did this time last year... the snow never got real deep until the end of february... the snow in mccall is great right now. you just have to know where to go

and this whole preview was shot in January 2 storms ago or more

Once stuff is covered it doesn't matter how much depth there is! It's all about the luck of hitting the 2 - 4 feet of fresh!

McCall has been awesome for us every ride for the past month. The pile up is definately at a higher alt then last year though. It's been warm so the traditional low riding areas say below 6000 feet are a no no...the upper zones are awesome though. Like Jeremy says you have to know where to look.

Rob, I will settle for temps under 35, not raining and not fogged in. :rain:

Did you move to London...Old Chap?

We got a late start and it's definately been above average temp wise but it's really been a pretty good season. At least we've had more sunny days then in the past. I'll take upper medium snow conditions and a sunny calm day every single time.

Good here! Haven't had much fresh the last couple weeks, but the base is actually better than last year up top.

California just had 2 feet plus in the past week.

Average California snow level is at 130% of normal. Base has covered riding area. Base is 6-10 feet at 8000 feet.

Blue Sky riding for the next 10 days but some storms north of Mammoth around Tahoe , Lassen and Shasta. Should be under a foot for each storm.

Go to www.cnsa.net to see the 100's of places to ride in California.

Riding places for any rider ... trees monster climbs and crazy night life.

You could stay in Reno , gamble etc and ride an hour away or stay in Tahoe gamble and ride out the parking lot. Gotta love those Casino $50 "tune ups"

If you have a trailer or anything to sleep in check out the snow parks where they are maintained by the State using OHV money. Can stay parked for 5 days ! Cost under $50 for the season.

Sweet pic Jeremy makes it look like I was stuck on flat ground. I guess I had better have my camera ready next time you stick it. Hoping for more r's and cooler clutches this weekend.

Riding around here in the Northern/Central Sierras is as good as it always is. I heard Shasta was killer to. We haven't had more than a 2-3 day break in snow since about early December. It has also stayed cold so the snow quality has stayed great. We are supposed to get a little break in the weather next week. Here at my house I have had 265" of snow this year which is right on track for a average year. Most of the normal riding spots are averaging about 8'-10' of base.

Those pics from Idaho look real good but I know the Tahoe area has real good riding right now for sure

lol.... i thought it looked pretty steep in the pic. we all know how steep it really is. i was impressed my camera would zoom in that far

Snowies are great right now just have to know where to ride. We went out two weekend ago after everyone around was pissing and moaning about no good snow. We found great untouched snow all day. We did get hit hard again this weekend and into early this week. I am hoping for good things.

heading to Logan in the morning.. would go a bit deeper but an event is planed, so we will have to make the best of it.. Nice pics of McCall!!
