Best Shocks for my Duramax

I think I am due for some new shocks for my truck. I have a '04 Chevy 3/4 Ton Crew Cab. The pickup isn't lifted or anything. What are the best shocks out there?
Thanks!!!

the only way to keep shocks under a Chev IFS is to go to a better designed front end. Cognito Motorsports has the best one going IMO, their "leveling" kit doesn't lift very much. Changes the suspension angles and whatnot so you can actually have decent shock life.

It depends how much you are wanting to spend.

bilstein have one of the best out there for your pickup.

you could go with rancho and there are other good ones, but the leveling kit might not be a bad idea either. i did it to my 04 but on my 06 one ton single i haven't had any probelms with shock life. not that on my 04 it was a big deal just made them stand up to a couple months more of abuse.

Bilstein's. Put them on my '02 DMax at about 30k mi. Have over 90k on the truck and they're still doing thier job.
Factory ones were toast when I bought the truck at 25k mi.

I'm putting the 'medium' duty Monroe version of the Rancho RSX on my 2500HD when it's time ...

I had the Rancho RSX's on my old truck and it made it ride like a tank ... I don't want shocks that stiff again.
