best setup for 800 summit 144 in mountains

I am wondering what the best setup is for a 05 summit 800 144 for out in the big horn mountains. most the riding is around 8000 ft. not much higher. i brought it to a local shop and they tuned it for me but in my opinion it was weighted wrong. maybe to light of pins.
I am also thinking about getting a slp pipe kit (pipe and silencer) for next year. need to give it some bark. cuz it sounds weak. how will this change clutching & jetting? is it worth it?

I don't think the SLP pipe is going to give you much unless you do their mods along with the pipe. I have kept my 06 144 stock, save a DJ clutch kit and removed a spacer from the secondary to get the right belt deflection. I run 19.3 grams of pin weight and ride from 3000 to 6500 ft running clicker 3 @ 8100 rpm and it works awesome, IMHO. The stock clutching was crap by comparison.

The other mod I really like is the addition of a Axess seat from R&M Lightening Products. It is 4" higher than stock and allows my long legs to stretch out a little more on the Rev. Will be taking it to Pemberton in a couple of weeks so may get as high as 8000 ft. with it.
