Best mountain goggle? no-fog??

Habervision

MileHigh: I bought 2 pair of Habervision goggles with eliminators and two more eliminators to put in my other goggles last season, I like your goggles, great lenses and fit, but the eliminators are not doing anything for me, they are not moving enough air. Are you guys working on a more powerfull fan for the future ? I find my Scott Xi's fog the least of all my goggles and I pretty much own every brand. :face-icon-small-dis

We have not had any issues with the Eliminator. Are you using the auto (yellow) setting or the always on (green)?

I recommend the auto setting. The fan does not move a lot of air, but you need to realize that there is not a lot of volume inside of a goggle. The fan is small but spins at a high RPM. I believe I was told the Eliminator will cycle the air through our goggles 3 times per minute, so roughly every 20 seconds.

When you say they are not doing anything for you, are you still fogging?

Something to check for:
-make sure the top of the goggle is not packing with snow or ice. Everytime I have had fogging issues the top of my goggle, the foam that is an exhaust vent, has been iced over.

-Also make sure that your helmet is not blocking these same cooling vents. The Eliminator is designed with a spacer on top of the goggle. But each face and helmet fit different.

-If you are a "fogger", you might consider how you are dressing. I like to be cold when I leave the truck. You are not doing any work at this point, so if you are warm when you leave the truck, you will be sweating up a storm once you start working.

You can call me and I can try to help you a little more, and make sure the Eliminator is working how it is designed.

Bolles from costco...work great in all kinds of light and never fog, plus, are only 30-40 bones!

Funny thing, I saw these yesterday at Sam's and was wondering how the worked....at $25, they'd be worth having as a spare at least! Might have to pick up a pair to try out.

Mile High: I'll check out the items you commented on when I get out for my first ride, I do use the yellow setting now, and I do dress in layers, but we do ride during some cold weather -25C and arm pit deep powder during Dec and Jan up here in the Great White North. Thanks for your reply, I'll call you if I'm still having issues.

Thanks.

i don't want to rain poop on anyones parade but i've had 3 pairs of 509's now and they kinda suck. on two of the pairs the lenses separated and cause weird trippy acid vision, the other pair fogs so bad... un-usable, especially on a deep pow day when it is snowing. maybe the new stuff is better

on a side note, i haven't found a goggle yet that is great in the whiteroom/mid storm conditions

That has been my experience with the 509 goggles as well.
