looking to change gearing on my m1000, it has some mods and will run vents , most likly keeping the 4 wieght clutch.

i have been told 55:65 is geat for the M8's ,, is that to low for the M1s?

57/63 in my m1000 is what Im going to this fall before the white stuff starts to stick. Stock is 60/60 and I burn belts like a martha focker. Only 9 belts in th 08/09 season and 800 miles................

I run BDX 55/65 gears in my 07 M1000 and LOVE it!! I too run my 4 weight clutch with Supreme Tool billet spider and cover and it runs perfect.

My recommendation for sure! Great gears for boondockin', climbing, whatever. I feel it is the best "all mountain" gearing.

sounds like you have a lot more problems other than just gearing

so.....maybe ur problem is a little forced air, maybe haha??

Not yet, soon. Got a compression, pipe, and clutch setup thats wrokin pretty sweet R now and puts me at 7800 rpm and burns Fawkin belts. 2 much HP for the high gearing.............Ive tried bein gentle but its like being on a polaris.
