I am looking for a new aluminum trailer 4 place enclosed. Share your ideas on who has the best trailer and the best value. Also do you have a dealer that was good to deal with.Thanks for sharing your ideas.:beer;

1ST--FEATHERLITE
2nd--Triton

H20SKE...

Sorry Paul, I have to disagree...I chose the triton over the featherlite when I bought...looked at both again at this years snowshow...the finish of the triton is hands down better than the featherlite.

The new flooring that triton has is also incredible.

Price being equal, I would choose the triton every time (again).

Yes, the Charmac is a good bargain...but remember, you get what you pay for.

Something rarely talked about when these threads pop up is trailer security. That was the icing on the cake when choosing the triton. All the other brands use surface mount lever locks that you put a padlock on. The triton's use an integral, internal locking mechanism that is virtually theft proof (obviously, nothing is 100%...but these locks are sweet, and no padlocks to deal with freezing up).

The best trailer hands down is triton...best bang for your buck is toss up between charmac and haulmark.....but trioton trailers are soooo nice.

Triton and Featherlite are both awsome trailers

I would have to say that Triton and Featherlite make great snowmobile trailer. I should know, I carry both of them. We have invested in selling both of them. We haven impressed by them for a long time. Our customers are very happy as well. Many of whom trade back in for a new one when that time comes. Check us out at http://www.wyomingtrailer.com. Thanks

I dropped around 20k for a 30ft Featherlite in 2004 and have had a lot problems with it. Mainly the entire wood decking had to be replaced and both doors hinges went bad on me after 1 season, of course right after the warranty expired. Featherlite wouldn't do a thing!

It pulls amazing and after i had the decks lined with lineX, its been great, but the hinges i still can't get fixed! no one is actually willing to work on it.

Anyone know any good aluminum guys that i can be directed to in utah or close by?

I'm a Wells Cargo dealer these days so I may have some bias :), I have owned and I have looked at the competition. I'm not that impressed with the Triton surface mount lever / locks. I like the rigidity and easy of maintenance on the cam bar setup that most manufacturers use. Have you seen the newer style cambar locks that don't require a padlock? Great locks - great security and should anything go wrong with my open/close mechanism I can SEE it and fix it! At the Salt Lake Snow Show this year we had Trailco (Triton) reps taking pics of various aspects of our Wells trailers! The floor on the Mirage and Haulmark is cool -but Haulmark had to put a sign on their ramps at the show as it's slick and people were falling on their a$$es!.. (indoors).Put a little frost on those ramps! (yea - they are all slick with frost, but those were dry!)

Wells Cargo has built trailers forever now (1954) and I think it's tough to find a more durable and well built trailer for the money. Come see us for a great deal (Alum or Steel) on a Wells Cargo quality built rig! We're offering some great incentives right now! We sold 6 trailers at the Snow Show alone and would love to put more of you in the quality you are looking for!

Agreed, I've had two Triton trailers and loved both of them. I know have a 20Ft Interstate and it is a heavy piece of ch!t, compared to the Triton. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice enough trailer for the $$, but it's no Triton!!

I appreciate your opinion (and bias!!) but when I go to an NHRA event and see the exact same lock system on the high dollar trailers of the race rigs, that is proof enough for me. If I were to have a problem, its easy enough to remove the inside panel and check it out...and NO other system is as secure.

Wells Cargo makes a good bargain trailer, but again, I believe you get what you pay for.

Triton

I just purchase a 22' Triton enclosed. I have not had a chance to use it yet, but being some one who looks at the details, I really think that the Triton is the best. I have a freind who bought a Featherlite last year with the phony cheap plastic door locking mechanisms -I did not like them. I am particularly impressed with the weight reduction. I saw this trailer at a snow show and was able to pick up the tongue of it alone with my hands. With a light weight of 2500 pounds, it will be less than 5000 pounds with 4 (non yamahahahaha) sleds in it. I am impressed. I looked at a lot of steel trailers and do not like the fit and finish of them especially the cheap ones. As said before, you get what you pay for.

Check out a Rance Renegade trailer. I have the car hauler model and wouldn't hesitate to get another one. Just another option for ya.

How do Rance alluminum snowmobile trailers compare to these other brands.
Good and bad points here would be apreciated.

Triton still the best

As a 11 year triton dealer, I can honestley say it's one great trailer, I used to be a big Featherlite fan. Not any more, I have an 06 triton 24' my self and its the ticket, The locking mechanizm that Triton uses are killer, Never had one go bad in 11 years, Stainless steel, super simple and trouble free. I've taken lots of Wellscargo's, Newmans, Rance renegade, Interstates ect ect, none are in the same league, If you price a triton and a featherlite out the same the triton is about $2000 less also. No offense, but stay away from Newmans, and rance, they are cheep for a reason, they build them cheep and lite. Just my opinion from someone who has sold literaly hundreds and hundreds of trailers.

We've been a Triton dealer for a number of years, because they are one of the best. I personally pull Legend now, because they are better. butterfieldpolaris.com
