anyone run the gates redline belt? I was told all the iron dog racers run them. I blew a ski doo belt last weekend. 950 miles turbo r. mostly my fault i didnt keep the screens clean.

Iron dog race is not the same terrain as mountain riding, so what they use may not be best for Mtn guys

I know a few guys who have had belt issues and have now tried the new 574, so far so good. But not enough miles to say for sure

we have tested his belt on trail sleds extensiveky and it was not nearly as good as sevral others. i cant imagine it being good in any summit 850 model

A friend has one on and really likes it. Seems to handle heat and hold RPM better than the 571. I have a redline for a spare now. I've also read good things about the new 574.

Blowing belts used to be arch-nemesis across several sled platforms. I’m getting 600 miles now on my turbo R with the 571 belts and just retiring them. The improved captured mounts starting on the 2019s helped a lot and now with the additional motor mount on the g5 I think most people find belt issues a thing of the past. I used to run some gates belts but now I see no reason to mess with what’s not broken. On another note about the gates belts, they did fail in a spectacular fashion when they did blow but didn’t wrap cords around both clutches. I also found the rpm difference between the gates and ski doo belts to be a pain if you were trying to dial in clutching and switching back and forth.

The strongest cvt belt currently on the market is the gboost rs. Only belt that will hold up all day driving my 500hp can am x3. Trust me I tried all of them. It makes so much power it pulls the belt apart. Belt temps never go over 120. The cords in the rs belt are very strong. Compound is very close to factory belt traction.

I ran my first drive belt on my 20201/2 turbo 2023 miles before it started to show fatigue.I ride it pretty hard at 8000 -9500 ft.On the Xp’s we had they would blow about every 360 miles.We all ride differently for sure.

The dynojet belt is just a rebranding ultimax. Again, the strongest belt on the market is the gboost rs. Compound is very close to stock belt, you might gain 150rpm on top.

Has anyone tried the doo 574 belt? that is the belt used on the summit 850r in other parts of the world but the north America version has the 571. Harder compound?

One guy in our riding group has about 700km on one and said its so far the longest lasting belt he has tried. He was getting 300-500km out of the 571 and gboost belts
