Blowing belts used to be arch-nemesis across several sled platforms. I’m getting 600 miles now on my turbo R with the 571 belts and just retiring them. The improved captured mounts starting on the 2019s helped a lot and now with the additional motor mount on the g5 I think most people find belt issues a thing of the past. I used to run some gates belts but now I see no reason to mess with what’s not broken. On another note about the gates belts, they did fail in a spectacular fashion when they did blow but didn’t wrap cords around both clutches. I also found the rpm difference between the gates and ski doo belts to be a pain if you were trying to dial in clutching and switching back and forth.
