Belt deflection issue

I am having some problems with my M7 as of last year. Picked up and M7 last year (2006) with 400 miles on it. Put an RK tek secondary kit in it pipes, bdx intake, running a PCV with racing stations map. the first ride it ran great but then was having some low end bogging issues with it and started to get pissed. For instance if i would have it wrapped up and get stuck and get off the gas quick, then after getting it unstuck it would simply bog and wouldnt want to rev up. Or if i was running it hard for extended periods it would seem the clutches would get hot and not want to rev above 6800r's, after i would let it cool for a bit it would be right back to 8100r's. so after struggling with the low bog issues i figured it had to be the performance mods so i took them all off except for the RK tek clutch and same problem. I am now thinking it has been my belt deflection all along. after messing with it today i tightened up the belt so it would just barely stick out of the secondary but now it seems to be way too tight. With the sled on a jack and ideling it will run the track up to about 5mph and sitting on the ground the belt will start to squeel after a few seconds. enclosed are some photos of the belt and clutches. The pics are after i adjusted it today. Any input would be appreciated.

Your belt is too tight. It should be just barely sticking out of the secondary. With the sled jacked up it will turn the track but you can stop it turning with your toe. If it squeals it is a little too tight. The ABC from Thunder Products was the best M7 mod I did.
Your RKT looks to have a reverse notch. Is it the right helix? I didn't have the notch on mine. RKT claims it will run cooler??? I sold mine.

Are you running stock can, pipe, belt, Y pipe, air intake and spark plugs?
What elevation?
No fuel controller?
Seems to be a lot of oil on it for 400 miles.
What hole is that RKT in?

Total stock it will have a blubber on the low end. Somewhere in mid/low throttle it will hesitate (sort of skip a beat). Can't get rid of that. The PTO side runs real rich while the mag side is rich. It sounds like you are loading up. Can you adjust the fuel controller? Do you need a fuel controller? I ran BoonDockers box and could adjust the fuel problem out.
Some people changed things with fuel pressure regulators. Do a search on them. You will find a pressure to run it at. Many opinions out there on mods for the M7. I found above 5,000 feet it needs stock Y pipe and stock can worked the best for me. The clutching was the biggest gain. Throw the kit away and play with springs and weights. PM me if you want more on my clutching.
