Up here at bear lodge right now. Been here for the last week. Snow is great!! Headlight deep in deep trees. Super fun. Great early snow it's like feburary. Been cold but warming up. Super fun. Got about 5 inches last few days total. Good time

Thanks Skidoox600 for the update. Makes me feel a little more confident that we're not going to be skunked by low snow.

We stayed there this summer on a 4 wheeler trip and it was a DUMP, it you are a non-smoker it is not the place to stay, everything stunk like smoke. We moved over to The Elk View Inn after being at Bear for one nite, the place is awesome and we were treated like gold.

We stayed at Elk View Inn this past week. The place was very nice. Conditions were a mixture with things being pretty well used up in proximity of the lodges but we had experienced friends along that knew where to find untouched powder. We didn't have trouble finding great snow to track up.
Whoooo hooooooo. Just got off the phone with bear and said the got a brand new hot tub last week!
Last time we were there the hot tub didn't work so they just pumped hot water from the boiler in there and didn't bothere to put in any chemicals in!
It was kind of a DNA STEW! Water was a little THICK so I passed on my turn in the pot!

ItS a good place. Some people are very picky. Yes they have a brand new hot tub now. It's a nice 1 too. Great food, great night life!

They got a boat load this weekend.(18" to 20")The lodges are sitting around 40" The futher out you go the more there is. Hi country was reporting over 2 feet of new snow this last weekend. So they should be around 80".
