Bear Lodge Resort

We stay there a lot. Great food, nice bar, pool, gas, and rental shop. We always stay in a bottom floor room that walks out into the parking lot where we park our sleds. They use the term "resort" very loosely. The rooms are ok, but not a "resort" type room. I could care less if they just had a mattress on the floor. After a tough day riding and a few drinks at the bar all you will want is a blanket and pillow anyway. Elk View is also very close by and is a nice place. As long as the snow is good, and you are not in a tent, its all good!

No complaints here.

Call ahead and make sure they have rooms available.

It does not matter. It is always a great time at the Bear. It does not matter where you stay at (condo/hotel). I have been going there for years and it is the best place to go. The people there are always great. They will always say hi and great you no matter who you are. Big Mike's breakfasts are the best there is. Do not have any hesitation about going there.

There is 18'' on the ground at the lodges with another 5'' to 6'' for casted in the next couple days. There is a good 3' to 4' around Bald mountain area.

Thanks Wyomax. I haven't ridden that area before, but if I heard that report for the Union Pass/Togwotee area that I'm used to I'd be thinking "barely starting to get a base; riding will be sketchy". Is that accurate for this area too?

Thanks,
Rob

We stayed at Bear Lodge last April for the first time. We had alot of fun, the rooms are decent, the breakfast and supper are damn good and the people are nice. Plus, the prices are reasonable.

I'm sure we'll be going back.

Bear lodge is a good time and great place to stay. The snow west of Bear was good last weekend but still watch for rocks/stumps. More snow forecasted for Wednesday and maybe thurs. Headed back up for hilday weekend.

No new snow as of Dec. 28 but we found some good hills to play on that were barely touched with 1-3 feet. You just have to know where to look.I would consider it good early riding especially for a guy like me from WI. I am at Bear now and the DAMN hot tub doesnt work it is out of order. A worker told us that the jets dont work and when they turn them on they trip a breaker, so no jets in the hot tub. But he did say that Elk View has an awesome hot tub. We will be staying at Elk View next year. Bear is falling apart. IMO Pray for snow.

That hot tub deal is bull$%*#. It was like that in march 2010. IF THE OWNER READS THIS LISTEN UP!!!! The hot tub and big mikes breakfast are the only reason we stay there. If we lose one of them again we are pulling the plug, and not staying down the road at the other 2 resorts you own, but moving on to my 2nd fav. west yellowstone, or somewhere our group has never been, and there are plenty of those. I have 1600 dollars worth of reservations on my card and not afraid to cancel so please just fix that hot tub!( if you know the owner email this to him please)

Good luck trying to cancel your reservation- they will hold you to it--- I know Ive tried---- Since the Bear bought up everything-- the mentality is take it or leave it.. I know what I have done in the last two years--- Bye Bye Bear and your empire.. I do miss Big Mikes breakfast------ but that is all---
