BCA avy air bag packs for $499!

Hey, I agree that the proven product is usually the way to go. But I think most people agree with me on here that $1000+ is not just a little too much but way too much for those packs. I think they get people with the "your life is worth the money" line. I think they would have made the difference if they priced them at...say...$650/$700 range. I would have already bought one then.

What are they worth to the guy who has actually used it? Especially when there was no other alternative. Also since the other packs don't have any history, who's to say that the cheaper pack has the same lifesaving reliability. I'm not hating on the other packs, just saying. How many products are flawless out of the box?
