Ok, here we go.

The NWGC had a few meetings this week. The thought is to have as many people, THAT ARE WILLING, to park their sleds at the snow line and leave them there for the event weekend. But, there WILL BE NO ONE PERSON responsible for other peoples gear. We are just trying to work on ideas to keep the congestion down. The club will have people wearing Orange vests in an attempt to direct traffic up and down after the drop offs. We know that there will be people parking up the hill as far as possible. We would ask that they leave as much room as possible for rigs to turn around. MEANING, PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE TURN AROUND!!!!

We ask that everyone just be very patient.

On another note. SNOW.

The weather man had graced us with late season snow. I guess better late than never. I talked with MR. PREZ today and we had an interesting thought. Everyone tear it up this weekend, have fun and be safe. Avi danger is high. Monday another big storm is do in and we are supposed to be getting hit perty hard next week till Friday. It would be really nice if EVERYONE stayed out of Baker till race weekend. Two things, #1, it would give Randy a couple really good days of grooming on good snow. #2 and to me the best part, we would have feet of untracked snow for race weekend.

As of today the weather dorks have said Saturday and Sunday, race weekend = Sun with periods of clouds.

Again, ride safe and be careful

It was just a hopeful comment and request. If it doesnt work, just be carefull. There has been far to many Avi deaths this year already.

As of now the turn around is at the green gate so there is a really easy turn around.

Until next week, Ride Safe.

That is gayest stupidest thing I ever heard but I agree, everyone should stay off Baker for the next week or two.....I'll be up there checking to make sure no one rides.

Alright, alright, I get the point, bad idea. It was just a thought, maybe a bad one.

Are there any additional suggestion on how we should deal with the parking and/or shuttling sled issue.

??

Helicopter!

I would think there would be a need for many for a means of getting their sleds from the parking lot to the unload area for those that are bringing campers or do not have a small enough setup to take them up and turn them around.

IE shuttling sleds. I like the idea of building ramps out of wood and side load a trailer. Then have a ramp at the other end for them to drive off as well. Might beat the crap out of a trailer though.

Not sure about the legal responsibility of this though... You know, some dumb ars falls off the trailer and gets run over type of thing. Maybe make everyone on the trailer wear seat belts? lol

I did hear at some point a guy or two saying they had a 4 or 6 place open deck trailer they may be willing to bring up. I like the side load idea.

How about i stay on the mtn. until the baker shootout weekend. everywhere but baker should be good to ride then.

Has the hill used for racing ever slid? I know the answer....just curious if anyone has given this any thought considering the 4-5 ft of new the last couple weeks. ??? As of today that area is a "3"....considerable danger.
Not to be a party pooper, but we don't need a encore performance to what happened at Turbo. :face-icon-small-win

One more brainiac thought, I think this is a good one.

I offered last year and its good this year. IF someone needs a place to stay, Ill have my enclosed trailer up for those who want to crash. Again no puking allowed.

This is something that NEEDS to be addressed somehow.... Our sport CANNOT afford another black eye..
