Yeah, its deep. We all knew that. But WOW. Deepest I've ever ridden at baker I'm pretty sure. WOW.

Got two or three really good sun breaks. Looked almost bluebird on the way up.

New sled worked amazingly (08 m1000) I'm happy. Needed every bit of 162hp today. Coulda used even more. Only had time for a few pics. Got some on the gopro too.

The snow was really deep in the tight canyons and above pocket lake. Spent all day left side and dint c anyone? Good day 4 sure!

We wanted to head over the left side SOOOO bad I knew it would be epic back there but with that thick fog rolling in and out I didn't wanna venture too far. I've been lost in it before and freaked me out.

Plus, it was my first ride of the season and on a new chassis, I was already getting beat up. I got stuck like the first ten feet off the trail below peanut lol. I didnt exspect it to be that bottomless.

Hey Flakey,,, do you have the stock track and gearing on that one?? I too have a new to me 08 1000 haven't been out yet, thinking North cascade pass fri, or sat. Will be the maiden voyage for the sled and myself.. Haven't ridden in 12 yrs. so looking for a semi easy ride for myself and to learn the sled.
Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!! If you have the stock challenger track how did it do in the deep?? The ride will depend on the weather ...

Stock clutching as far as I know. But has lightweight can and a 162" powder claw track.

It seemed to do really good yesterday. Felt like it would climb just as good or better than last years 08 xp 800 154"

But was hard to tell. I've been in deep baker snow lots of times but this was ridiculous. Those conditions can make any sled seem underpowered. It was insane.
