sssooooooo... just recently got back from over seas and have been tring to get my sled back together so im not missing out on any more snow. the last thing that i needed to hit the snow was a cylinder, well i found a used one up in lapine Oregon at Peek Performance repair. Shawn up there was real eager ta set me up $150 and $15 for shippin. saves me a 125 mi trip up 97 (i sould of made it) well i paid him (on sun the 21) he said it'll be sent out on Mon i'll see it wed-fri. im thinking cool, be able ta get some tuning done next weekend. well i patencently waited till fri understanding that it was Xmas week and the weather was pretty rough, so fri i called Shawn (BTW i've never had a harder time getting a hold of a buisness. and yeah i know how busy things can get, i've worked at moto shops before an spent the last 6 years workin on military fighter aircraft so i know how it gets answering phones all the time) so i call Shawn on fri lookin to get the tracking # well he says he didnt have one, the cylinder is still at the shop cause UPS never picked it up (i called UPS there was no reason for them not to pick it up) so i ask him why he didn't call me? he knew i was debating on comin up to get it myself. then he gets short with me an shoots back that im not the only buisness that hes dealing with! well long talk short we didn't get too mouthy or disrespectful but the only thing this guy is willing to do for me is ta send it out on mon the 29th so realisticly i wouldn't get it till the 31st (a week n half, $15 ta get a cylinder shipped 125mi. SUCKS)
so get off the phone an start wondering how good of condition is this cylinder? being used an all (im not trusting this guy any more) so i decide im not taking the chance of waitin 1 1/2 weeks for a bad cylinder so sence theres a break in the weather (sun) i was gona just make the trip so i call Shawn n tell him im comin up to pick up the cylinder he tells me he's on his way up to Bachelor ta deliver some sleds so i ask if theres anyone that he trusts ta hold on to it till i get there sence i've already paid for it. well he gets short with me and sharply tells me its not worth it to him ta do that for me. an tells me that he's going riding!! an hangs up on me. well im done at this point i don't care if don't get to ride, i'm not doin buisness with an individual like that. i called him back tell im not gona take anymore of his time, go ahead and cancel the sale. (oh an mind u though all these calls my tact is very patient an calm thanks Uncle Sam) he gets all fired up, "im done messing with this! its not my falt UPS didn't pick it up!! i told him i called UPS there was not reason for them not pickin it up. and i don't do buisness with people like you an i'm doin a post on Sowest an hung up on him.
hahaha so we'll see if i even get my money back. ya now i usally don't make a big deal bout stuff, but its amazing how people could care less once they get ur money. all he had to do was shoot me a line "hey things are messed up, wasn't able to get ur part out when i promised, sorry" i would of understood.
Ya know he said a few times how hes got a buisness to run an he dosen't have time for me, so how many of u all does Shawn at Peek Performance in Lapine Oregon have time for??
yeah it does sound like im "callin him out"... thats cause i am. Shawn, for ur costomers i hope find some honesty an integrity.
