Axys 163 silber pump gas or bd?

I have not, I was going to coming from the Pro to the Axys but after many boosted miles I will stay with the 183 Axys belt. Plus I have my sheave set for the Polaris belts and do not want to change it. I have been told the width is a bit different, not much but sometime enough.

My turbo got here at 4 pm today as promised by silber and we put it on in two hours. QUOTE]
2 things are gonna happen here-
1. Your gonna have a belt burner.
2. Your sled is gonna run like crap. This is directly related to the "let's slap in a turbo in under 2 hrs" idea.

Kit is fine. 2 hr install is not fine.
At the very least a complete disassembly of the clutches and rebuild/clean. This alone takes 2 hrs.
Just my opinion

Not sure how you don't clean your clutches when you install the updated springs, weights etc. Though possible, Silber isn't really suggesting you install the kit as fast as you can nor are they claiming all the clutch work can be done in that infamous "two hour window".

My $0.02 is clutching is so sled dependent. The kit can get you close, but its not going to to always be dead on for every rider, condition, and machine.

In my experience, the stock helix is just too flat and the belt slips causing roastage. Have to swap to something steeper or be prepared to shell belts.

Just picked up a 183 belt from the dealer but it doesn't have the green sides that my current belt has???

Nope!

Why did your Axys have a 115 on it to begin with???

hmmmm....idk? I ordered a spare belt with the sled so I had one and they both have green sides? I'll look at the numbers when I get a chance but is that a 115 belt?? I'm pretty sure that both the one that came on it as well as the spare have green sides...

Belt

I do have a 183 belt. And I don't think it takes two hours to clean and redo a clutch assembly at all. The kit was very easy bolt on. Only reason I had a bit of trouble was bc we broke a tool and compromised a part bc we didn't have the right one. Silbers kit runs great and I'm Loving it. My hilux is stock

we need video :face-icon-small-hap

i'm running the gates carbon belt on my pro turbo
and really like it 600 hard miles on the first one
(plus $85 is nice too)
it seems to perform better than the 115 did
haven't tried the AC belt

only down side to the gates is when they go they
go into a hundred pieces :face-icon-small-sad
very messy

My first belt went for about 400 miles before it blew and then on my first ride with a new one after about 40 miles it went. It was pretty deep and I was running it hard all day. Maybe I need to add some vents? I'm going to try the Gates belt.

It's weird. I hear awesome reviews on the 44c for the pro but mixed reviews on the 45c for the axys. I like that it's cheaper but I don't like its tendency to go boom!

Just picked up a 183 from the dealer for $200. Checked at home and that's the same number on the other two belts I've been running. But this one doesn't have the green on the side...weird

Out of the three turbos I have ridden this season the silber and BD are decent. However I liked the MTNTK the best. Was clean and ran smooth. Plus the tunnel cooler is a pretty cool idea for temp.

Do they all feel the same for top end power?

Back at it

Put my new snap ring on clutch is cleaned up and we went and rode yesterday. I stayed with the 183 factory belt and it seems fine... Setting deflection w this turbo and clutching is major. Almost want it tight as you can with out sqeeking. I have a gates on order and I will try it too. My sled runs flawless with the silber on 91 octane. Very crisp and bottom end is crisp no bog what so ever. I'm happy with it to say the least.

What happens to the coolant line coming off of the throttle bodies? Does it just stay exposed where you remove the line from the head??

The line is removed from the throttle bodies.

The line now routes from the the head to the turbo the turbo and then from turbo to coolant tank.
