Axys 163 silber pump gas or bd?

What're you guys liking for belts with these turbos? Gates 45c4553? I've been fighting inconsistent RPMS for the last few rides. Cleaned clutches, adjusted deflection, still varies from 78-81 on a climb. About 600 miles on my stock belt and it looks fine

Believe it or not I've had EXCELLENT results with the Arctic Cat belt. I was having belt issues fwiw. Have a new clutch setup for the kit at 5psi if anyone is interested...

I will say I've had zero problems with my turbo but belt condition/life has been another story (more an axys problem, not a turbo problem)

There has been some cases where people were seeing rpm drop. I know of one that was pretty bad that ended up getting new injectors and a ECU flash to fix it.

One of the biggest thing I have found over the years is to make sure your rpm is correct and you have enough belt force. Once the rpm drops and the belts starts to get super hot it is only a matter of time before she blows.

After a couple rides on my Pro boosted with the 115 I would start to loose the cord but wit this new belt on the Axys I have had zero issues so far.

Please share what you changed from and what you are currently running. What elevation and what type of riding?

Riding at 7-9K (mostly)

Primary Setup - Green Pink with 10-70s, three delrin washers (one on one side, two on the other side - brings engagement to where I want and reduces/mitigates spring bind)

Secondary Setup - Black Lime spring, 46-52-36 helix. I do NOT suggest this helix. A straight cut 44 or 46 would be much better. Still, this is a great setup for 5psi and keeps the belt in much better shape.

Interesting responses. I'll swing by and bring it up to my dealer. I want everything to be right before I add the turbo

That is for sure, too many people add boost to an already present issue then blame the turbo.

I have several Axys chassis sled in the group that ride spot on all day every day with not RPM fade.

Ok so this may be a dumb question but I'm gonna go ahead and ask it anyway. Is there anyway that it could be the belt even though belt deflection is correct and the belt doesn't show any visible wear?

Stock polaris 183 belt. About 1000 miles on the sled and I burned a belt because of a stuck throttle at around 400 so this has about 600 miles on it.

Is it glazed? Belt can be slipping or not responding to heat with only a glaze as the notable physical wear...

Axys belt

Well I rode few days straight on my original belt of 500 miles right after turbo instal and scorched my belt. Factory 115. Honestly i think the new one will hold. I need to scuff and clean secondary from belt marks looks like a rubber factory. We bent the snap ring getting my new secondary spring in and I think it played into it. We put entire kit on it trailer basically and broke the snap ring players so we tore it out w screw driver. So I'll Repair both factors and she will fun fine I bet. If there's a stronger after market belt any one knows up I'll try it too? I'm gunna test my factory one this next week early on in deep heavy spring snow

Maybe I missed something here, you are running a 115 belt on an AXYS, not the 183?

Yeah, the 115 isn't ideal (but it can work).

What helix btw?
