Avalanche - Afton

Sleddermiles is right. Utah has a bunch of idiots (Utah people to be more specific) that should just stay home if there to dumb to know what's going on. Save search and rescue some time...they have family's too!

I was in the group involved in the avalanches on 2-16-17. He is doin good. He rode a sled out himself. Earlier in the day there was an avalanche that also buried one person, our group saw it and helped get him out. He also was unconscious but we got him back as well. He was able to ride out on his sled.

two people saved in one day! wow!

As for the locals complaining about Utahns, I can understand the frustration, to have all these people show up and track up your local riding areas.

Hello!!!! People people people!!!!

As being a long time SAR person, sounds to me like we have some folks that need a break. Get your head on right or take a break.

As stated, the important aspect is all are safe and we learn from these occurances to prevent it from happening to you.

syko.

Really?2posts? You are an idiot, plain and simple. Go play hide and f*** yourself.

Glad everyone is safe. Sounds like several people learned some tough lessons, but the lessons could have been much more painful!

Heard about this post from a customer.........

Jake is a riding partner of mine and actually invited me to go on this trip. However I had prior arrangements. Jake is a very experienced rider and his quick thinking is likely what helped save his life. He knows how to ride the back country just fine. I bet if he gets back on a sled he'll be wearing one of the avy packs though :face-icon-small-ton.

Glad you made it out alive Jake!
