ATTAC Shocks…..👎!!!!

Just a follow up, the driver's 1 (rear shock medium/ skis soft) and driver's 2 (rear shock firm/ skis medium) is working out well for me in the mountains. I normally use driver's 1 for general mountain riding and driver's 2 for climbing. Driver's 2 helps keep the front end down somewhat more during a climb, without having to go down the rabbit hole of trying to get in/out of lock out mode.
Like Chewy22 above I just leave suspension in green mode and can quickly toggle between soft/medium/firm (for trails), and driver's 1/driver's 2 (mountains). I find that when using the ATTAC in this manner, I like it a lot more and use it constantly throughout the day when conditions change.
This is essentially how I always imagined setting it up. Driver 1 and Driver 2 for my two most commonly used ones and then spend time changing if needed on the trail ride in/out.

Is there actually a difference between firm and medium on the rear shock on these? Just pushing down on my rear bumper I think they feel the same, and on my ‘20 alpha with the qs3s there was still only 3 positions on the rear shock. Soft, medium and lock.
I can tell a difference in ride quality and the front does seem to stay down a little more when climbing, when comparing medium vs firm. You're right though, the difference on the rear shock when pushing down on the rear bumper vs comparing it to the front ski shocks isn't as noticeable. May have something to do with leverage points or the actual valving. Not sure as I've never disassembled the valving side of shocks before.

I think this is the best solution for now. Most riders are not going to want or need to use lockout as the firm setting will suffice. Another thing to note is if you do enter the unlock/lockout mode it automatically defaults to locked.

For anyone who wants to still play/test with theirs this is from Justin Scholl one of the electrical engineers and lead on the G8 project:

So the control strategy behind the ATAC system has not changed since it's release. I do know that it can be quite particular/ tricky working that 3 way toggle switch when trying to switch between different modes. With the lockout option, the control strategy works as follows By default, it will start with the suspension control disabled ( white text for ATAC icon) Center press: enables suspension adjustment (text will go green indicating you are in adjustment mode) Left press or right press: this will cycle between the five profiles (soft, medium, firm, driver 1, driver 2)Center press: enters lockout mode ( green text with a lock icon) one thing to note here is when you enter lockout it automatically locks the rear skid Left or right press: will toggle between lock and unlock Center press and hold: will then exit ATAC adjustment mode (text will go back to white)

Seems to be working by leaving it in the select mode, firm setting seems to be the nicest and most controllable on these whooped out island park trails. Unfortunately when I got back to the cabin my left front shock was collapsed. Only had like 15lbs in it. Pumped it back up, guess wheel see what tomorrow brings.

Had to pump the ski shock up twice today, and now my shock selector button is stuck as if you’re pushing the left side button. Looks like I’ll be getting ahold of the dealer next week when I get home. 3rd cat with floats, 1st one to give me issues.
