If your focus is air and pop style free riding the short track sled is about twice as much fun as the 155! Nine days out of ten even in the deep stuff that isn't an actual hillclimb the short track sled is a bunch more enjoyable to ride. The problem is the assault track is seriously wanting on every condition that we normally run over in a day of free riding. It's good as a stocker on a RMSHA course and that is about it. Now that doesn't mean it's not functional for free riding it's just not anywhere near as good as the camo extreme.

Somebody else (electrotech) said it and I agree plus...buy the 09 SHIFT 800 144 for cheap as a hold over or even find used. You get the recall new 800 top end, head, and mapping so basically a start over zero mile program. Throw on some FOX EVOL R and a HOLZ Racing front end kit (slightly wider then stock RMK)...Fox zero pro's on the rear..trim and the nubs and drive in sunk screws and ride a stock sled that will far outperform the stock assault heads up in every condition you will encounter except a gated setup hillclimb course. Then you can start to concentrate of engine mods for even more fun!

Photos for reference..it's not my first RODEO (got both short and long and they both go along almost every ride)
