Assault or xp looking for a new sled?

I am searching for a new to me sled 08/09 wondering what everyone thinks
I have had rev's for the past 5 years and loved them. I ride short track usually 144 mostly trees and jumps. I ride about 2500 km a season and we have no dealership in town anymore so reliability is important.

-I know you said XP or Assualt, but a crossfire 800 with a powerclaw sounds like the sled for you and its the most reliable 800 of the 3. You definitely don't want the polaris after all of the problems they have had with the 800.

well i cant say to much bad because i was all about polaris before i got my xp. none of the 800's are bulletproof by any means nowadays it seems, but from what you said with not having a dealership around and you want reliability, i would stay away from the new polaris 800's for now, just until they get the bugs worked out of them. i am impressed with my xp takes a little to get used to riding it but that is like any sled. good luck on your purchase!

I came off the REV Summit-X 144" and went to an Assault.

My riding style is boondocking and jumping, I think it is a perfect fit.

BUddy bought an assault this year, rear skid sucks (typical factory) put EZ-RYDE on it. Other than it being a lot less track then an xp 15 vs 16 it seems to be a pretty good sled. He has been waiting on his boondocker turbo for over a month, and maybe it will help a little in the steep and deep but it will just not hang with the xp. On comparable sleds (he had dragon 155 last year) we were neck and neck in the steep and deep. Till it lost the motor, twice.
