Assassination In The Boulderdome!

Sunday was one epic ride! The sun followed Shain, Dan and I around the Boulderdome all day. Not sure if there were more fun and lauphs or more killer chutes pulled!! All the chutes in the monster and airport got pulled!

Dan and Shain Im very happy you guys made it up, your Two Smokers were Rockin!

Shain Stanger pullin McLarens Mile was rediculous to watch, he got a little off line and had to switchback the sled in the chute 5 times lookin for traction! Increadable!

that was weird to see pics of shain this season with his motofist stuff off! the mile is rediculous.. What are you guys doing climbing this stuff??

Looks like Shain was very close through the rocky entrance to the Mile, using up the property to get some traction, ...but pulled it through in GREAT style, ...wicked climb Shain!!

Laiird styling up there as well, ..some fancy foot work going on near the top, ..lol.

The Boulder Dome...., what can a person say..., always great action.

all the chutes were pulled
dan pulled Irems arm, the mile, and the monster
laird pulled the mile and the monster for the 5 time this year (he didnt want to but Dan and I zipped up it and left laird setting there so up he came.)
I pulled the gash,the mile ,and monster.
that was the end of a 4 day run for Dan. in those 4 day I figgure dan climbed over 18500 vertical feet!
dan was riding well no mistakes!
I ended the day by getting stuck in hinds 57 no chopper but we had dan to finish her off for me.

Thi snext pic is in Area 57, just west across the top of the ridge from the Monster Chute. Mike Irmen and Laird tried this climb back in January, with similar results...lol. Good perception of the angle of climb... Great try Shain!!! It is steep and deep up there!!

Wow, I just got done watching boost 3 and listened to Veedy explain some of the situations and the chutes. You guys are nuts. Awesome job, I think I would be scared just standing at the top looking down! LOL. So, if I came out there with my stock 07 RMK 600 155", how far could I get up, say Swenson Street? Could one of you guys paint a line where a stock sled like mine might make it to? Just to help me put into perspective how unfricken steep those chutes are.

some of them i'm not sure you would even make it into the chute with a stock 600. Notice how much of a climb it is even before you can pick a chute to climb.

Neil, ..When Shain said that Dan road it out from there, ..he means that they turned the sled sideways on the slope, cut and stepped a notch to lauch from, then side hilled it out the top on the right side, (..as facing the hill). ..I could be mistaking, but that is how I understood it to happen... As you know the hill Neil, ..I wouldn't want to think about not making it, ..if you had to turn out, ..I don't think that you would be able to stop, ..short of picking the best tree, ..before you launch off the rocks!!!

Sounds like it all worked out though.... sounds like they had a great day!!

No, not down, but up.... we shoveled out his sled so it was only pointing up hill say 2 oclock... , I was going to side hill it out but the thing stood on end and i just burped it 7 times up to the top, the 174 with the 1200 twisted power got it to the top... It was time to go home after that, NO damage, no one hurt, what an amazing day, thanks for meeting up with us Laird, you really helped make it possible .. 2 guys climbing chutes, ain't enough, 3 is really a good number... if nothing bad goes wrong... Awesome pictures..as usual.
