Assassination In The Boulderdome!

hey nm this is none of my buiness but he was just asking a simple question i dont think it was nessasary to go that hard on the kid, but i can see his point of getting bored, some of would climb it if we had the coin that u guys obviously do to dump into a yammi turbo and not bat an eye, some of us cant afford that or afford the trip to revy, if i had the chance to come ride revy i deff try the monster, from mikes point of view monsters a piece of cake, and if i pulled the chute everyweekend of the year almost id get a little bored too.:face-icon-small-con
Anytime someone starts a question by saying " I don't mean to sound like an arse" they already know they are going to come off that way. So I guess you think that if we climb all the chutes then we should just quit riding because why would we bother to climb them again???????????? How many guys have run up Jackson hole over and over? How many MX racers have hit the same track or same jump a hundred times? It was a dumb question, and we all know it.

Well i for one dont get to go to revy as much as i would like to climb these chutes.I never get board of seeing these pics nor videos. These chutes are big when your sitting at the bottom and looking up.Alot of These guys make it look easy. But trust me there NOT THAT EASY! I get a kick out of guys that say they are "just point and shoot" And i have heard that from some guys that eat there words when they see them first hand. When i do get the chance to get down and ride with my buddies and they ride there alot. I was shocked to even see them shake at the bottom before they pull them. So gettimg board would not be a issue. As i thought i was the only one that felt like my heart was going to blow out my chest.lol Chutes change through out the year as any one that rides would know so there never exactly the same.. Keep posting pics boys another six months to go!

:face-icon-small-hapbut anyways you guys got more pics? love seeing new pics everytime on here from the guys in revy. what would be really cool if somehow u guys could climb down the chute to about the middle of monster lets say and sit there off to the side and capture some sweet pics from the sleds about you to show the actuall steepness,, maybe all get to come there for my senior year, but the 24 hour drive would suck but would be well worth it in the end.

Oh ya it's cake, if I had the money to put one of them whistling deals on my snowmachine I'd be headed right up there no prob, it's been done before what's the big deal?!

I get a kick out of guys that spew the "well if I had the money" or "if I had a turbo sled." Translation = "If I were a better rider"

I have no intention of pulling any climbs like that, but it's fun that people who do share the pictures on here!

Dude aren't you like 16? I would almost bet my sled you would never get past the Airport chutes let alone try the monster. It takes a big sack to sit at the bottom of any of the chutes on boulder and decide to take a poke at them. if you have a copy of the Team Thunderstuck Best of, look at the best crash number 4. (the redemption chute) this is what one of the smaller chutes on boulder mountain can do to your sled if you eff up 3/4 of the way up the chute

Exactly, and believe it or not you don't need a turbo and you don't need to be in revelstoke to attempt a huge gnarly hillclimb. Now that spring is here, you can get MORE than high enough on any stock 800 to make a big mess. Davidoff was pulling huge stuff on a big bore Mountain Max or some damn thing a few years ago....

dont matter if your young or not to pull these chutes:face-icon-small-dis NM neil mclarens kid i believe pulled monster when he was 16 am i correct neil or was it a different chute?

You have to see it it in person to appreciate what these guys do all season, in 3ft of snow, not just in the spring. Until you see first hand how insane some of these are, you cant comment. These guys dont go out every weekend and run through a marathon of the Boulder chutes without incident/rollovers/or stucks. But they have a hell of alot of fun trying.

I'm sure if you really wanted to you could find a crazy climb a lot closer than Revelstoke.....go hit it up and take some pictures for us.

Bkinz please stop Bkin and talkin chit on my threads, you just sound like a dork when you do anyway... You know darn well that I did a riding trip to the USA this year and your obviously still bitter about me leaving McCall due to lack of snow... Plus the mile has not even been pulled this year, nor has the two pulls we did in the airport! Irmen and Dan are the only guys to pull the arm this year and that was Stangers first time up the Gash so get your facts straight man!!!

Summit-x the money comment is very personal to me because your talkin to a guy that devotes his whole life to sledding. Im not a well to due person, Im a grader operator and I work very hard to support the sport that I love.

On a better note I got Saturday off and cant wait to meet up with the whole gang Campin in Revy! Hey I got an Idea!!! Lets pull all the same chutes again boys!! still a couple that need Names on them too!!! Whoot Whoot!!!

Laird M.

I was never bitter about you leaving McCall, I had a genuine question. I wasn't trying to smart or an arse like I said. Sorry to have stirred everyone's feelings. My apologies.

seriously laird ur gonna give me a bad post rating come on man.. u arent mad at me now are u laird, ive always wanted to come to revy and u know that im just sayin some people in this world cant afford a hairdryer thats all and u no darn well its true, and if i do come to revy i planned on contacting you to show us around a little bit cuz u seem like a good guy to have some fun with and a very respectful person to lead us on a trip like this

same chutes right ,theres still one in there I havent done. it seems like every time I have been there theses chutes are so big that the snow is diffrent every year and it changes them all up anyway.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't know how many times we have pulled into an area. Made a pull then came back 3 hours later and it was totally different. That is the great thing about riding sleds. No matter where you go it is NEVER the same from one hour to the next let alone one day to the next.

Much like running a river with a jet boat. I don't know how many people have said "Don't you get bored with the same river every weekend". Well every rapid is different every year and at every water level. So if never gets old.

Laird you and the boys need to keep climbing and keep SHOOTING pictures. Nothing better then getting on SW and finding another Triple Black thread.

Keep up the good work gang.

Thunder

You really have to see the "Canadian Chutes" in person to realize what is being climbed. As far as the money thing goes, I took a 7 year old T-Rx-1 that I paid $6,500 for, and had one hell of a time with this group. Laird, Shain, and Dan are some of the funnest people to be around. I even climbed a couple chutes and had to put my innercooler back on at the bottom of the chutes so that I could get back out. It took two belts looped over the skis just to get down to where you could come back out of the chutes and it was still out of control. I haven't found anything in the states that compares to what they get to ride everyday. Thanks guys for posting the pics. I hope to ride with you all again next year.

Ur age is showing with a comment like that... So are we supposed to go to a different riding area everytime after all has been climbed on that mountain? I dont f'n get it and clearly nor do u! And the whole "got the cash to climb, or put a turbo on" comment, i like laird operate equiptment. I have a 3 month old and a wife, i am no where near well off. However i work my *** off to afford my payments and i know what my priorities are.
