Turned 52 last summer.
Been riding since 1976.
I feel like my riding skills are the best they've ever been. I'm more capable and loving riding more than I ever have.
2025 Khaos 9r 155 with some lightweight parts, clutching and gear up.

I just need better cardio. It's not near what it was when I was still wrestling 12 years ago.

53 years old, honestly feel like I am a better rider today than I've ever been. Most of my rides are with a much younger group. Two early twenty guys on boosted Poos, and a mid 30's rider on a new 850 Ski-doo. Good solid crew who all ride aggressive.

If you're trying to form or find a group to ride with, bring something to the table. I bring almost 30 years of riding different zones to the crew. I always lead, know various honey holes, can make a full day of linking up spots, etc. We get back to the truck tired and out of fuel. Trust me when I say not all guys outings into the backcountry are like this.

My post from January 2020 :

60 years young !!just went from my trusty steed which is an 05 King cat fuelie , piped ,can, geared, reeded, 162 pc. To a 20 Hardcore Alpha 165 so I completely skipped 3 or 4 generations of chassis all I can say is catch me if you can in the trees ? not many of the peeps I ride with would attempt some of the nasty technical thru the tree climbs I do. I adapt quickly and climb all over the dang sled , on an 85-90 mile ride I will stand up for 90% of those miles . Kinda slowed down over the years on those huge verticles usually the same thing at the end of every one of them and that's the top been their done that? youngsters can do their 70' drops and their monster chutes, when all is said and done as long as we all come home at the end of the day it's been a good day on the snow .? As for learning to Alpha seems as though I will have to muscle down a bit as I can see a separation from the sled coming , but damn that thing is nimble!!!

Currently 65 and Still pushing it , lost a bunch of fat (50lbs) and muscled up a bit more , still getting my ass handed to me occasionally by the Alpha , still have the 05 King cat (old trusty) use the King cat for search and rescue , and going monday to pickup the New 858 , went with the " short track " 154 😎 have the 162 and 165 if need be and when all else fails I can go climb in the Pisten Bully 400 and make butter smoothe trails for the masses to enjoy !! Think I got it covered , old guys rule 😎😎😎
66 and Rocked the 154. 858 all season never even rode the 2020 alpha , never found anything I couldn't climb or rather it couldn't climb , things a beast but amazingly nimble in the trees and in technical pulls thru the trees . Doesn't really ride like an Alpha or should I say way more well behaved then the Hardcore , almost acts like a twin rail to and from the backcountry on the trails shedding the lbs on me(50) and 25 on the sled really helped can't wait till next year and hopefully get 2-3 feet of fluff to play in !!
