Thoughts and prayers to the officers family and friends. Wow, what a month.:rose:

Makes you stop and think about "mouthing off" to the guys that say they carry while they ride. Might not be a bad idea.

How long before we are back to times where we are carrying and decide to assist the LE to clean up the streets--Dirty Harry style?

Man, these guys and gals had kids--they were young!:rose:

Most of the time I try to when riding motorcycles or snowmobiles. Maybe for the animals, overnights but also the people. Not paranoid, just don't want to regret not having it.

Yes, thoughts and prayers to the families.

Yes I am. Long story short, I left this gun on my foot rail (unloaded) while having lunch at GC and rode away and lost it. 6 months later I got a call from kittitas county sheriff and got it back thanks to some nice person who found it and turned it in. This is a pic of the gun after I got it back and cleaned it up from melting through 12 ft of snow. There was very little rust, what a gun!!

This is before I cleaned it up

I carry my trusty .40 cal Glock, with 2 full mags, just in case one mag isn't enough. Like it was said above, I am not paranoid but I want to make sure I have it to protect myself and whoever I am with when or if I need to do so. I like to be prepared when !@#$ hits the fan.

It's awful what happened to those officers yesterday. I am sorry for their families. Not that this changes a thing, but that guy shouldn't have even been out in public anyways. Should have still been in jail. He had quite a few felonies and prior charges, I think that the poelpe that let out felons should also take responsibility for the actions people that they THINK are rehabilited when in fact, they are not... I know that would never happen but I bet there would be a lot less pedaphiles, murderers and/or nut jobs out and about.

Most anyone can pack a gun, just need a permit. The question should be "do you know how to use your weapon from concealment". If you get into a situation that you need to draw from concealment and fumble you are going to end up on the losing end of the fight. Anyone want to test their skill level I have a indoor tactical gun range.

That is a very good point... I wouldn't mind trying it out. I have only shot at conventional ranges like, Aimpoint, back in the day and also Sam's

my understanding of state law is there's no need for a permit unless you wish to conceal the weapon, otherwise wearing it on your hip is perfectly legal. the gentleman i bought my sled from a few weeks back kicked some knowledge about govt., the constitution, and our rights. it was an eye opening day. when i opened his door to go see the sled he had a freezer bag full of ammo under his chair and a 9mm on his hip. i for sure do not want to be an innocent bystander in a coffee shop, mall, or school, but my other option is to face years in prison for carrying all because there have been domestic violence cases where people have gotten shot. everyone with a DV regardless of the occurrence or past history is automatically classified the same. BS!!! UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!!

by the way i kicked a mirror to go to jail.

x2 exactly here as well. With each of these senseless, devastating tragedies,...my wife understands all too well why I carry everyday, everywhere I can go...just simply because none of us can know when the day is some douche bag like these tools are going to decide to shoot up your starbucks, or you family at the mall, or at the restaurant your eating dinner at, or your kids at school. Absolutely breaks my heart, what a freakin coward...I'm only glad somebody got off at least one round into that piece of S!@$%@ before he got out of there. I hope they find him looking like a strainer bowl for spaghetti...full of frickin' holes...then reload and add a few more.

Makes me sick...they all had family and kids. Nuts. And, if you look at what this tool has done in the past, absolutely astounding how this guys hasn't already gotten the 'final solution' right in the frickin head.

May the Good Lord bring heavy justice on those that need it, and peace and healing to those families and that department. :rose::(

Open carry is legal in WA. But, to have a loaded pistol in a vehicle you need a concealed pistol license. And to answer the original question, Yes.

Have always carried and always will ... long before it was the "in" thing to do(permitted shortly after my 21st; a LONG time ago). "It's better to have and not need then need and not have"!

I hate to point out the obvious, but the officers were on duty and were armed. What are you going to do with your gun that an officer wouldn't have done? This is an example of the fact that there is nothing you could do to stop this (at the time of the incident). Being armed or not, there is no difference in this example.

Now maybe if there were other people around armed, they could have gotten a shot off AFTER he killed the people, but a gun as a reactionary device seems like it is never quick enough. Now, proaction is a different thing, or rather, being the first to draw..

Just my take on the situation...

Tt is a sad day for sure. Doing paperwork at breakfast no less.:( I think we need much much more capital punishment, and a three strikes and your dead law.

I have to agree with you Ruffy ... being armed did not help the intended victims but more armed citizens with the know how to use their weapons could've resulted in no manhunt, trial or prison term. This POS needed to be dropped before he got out the door of Forza!

A sad day indeed for the four fallen LEO's and everyone else affected by this scumbag.
