arctic cat f-7 clutch damper question

the piece that bolts on the back side of the inner sheave

This stumped me, so I talked to the local Cat mechanic today.
All we can figure out is your talking about the ring gear for electric start or wind-age plate they bolt in the same area.

I would lean more to a light properly balanced clutch than adding more rotating mass.

If theres a theory here that I'm missing, someone please school me.

Cat makes a harmonic balance plate that bolts where the starter gear does. I'm not sure how much it weighs, but we ran them on our 800s just to see what happened. It does smooth things out a bit, but hurt the throttle response some.

Thanks.

That's the problem with rotating mass once you get it going it's great, but you have to get it going.

yes i am aware of that, but i am putting cat clutch on my rev and it needs more rotating mass for vibration the stock tra has weight added to it thats why i am trying to find out how much that will add, i need to get the rotating mass up close to the same as the tra, thanks. and maybe cat makes others that have weight also but i know th f-7 does
