In Huron, CA the government has shut off water to protect a 2 inch fish. This is a great agriculture area and no water whatsoever is getting to it. Hundreds of jobs are lost and the crops are completely dried up and ruined. CA has one of the worst unemployent rates and the government does this....and ya lets get all of our fruit and vegetables from China and Mexico now...that would be swell! I love the left....completely amazing!

Cali and the feds haven't figured out that you need people working to get income to be able to get taxes off of.

I feel sorry for the farmers down there. They have been getting hammered left and right. Stupid azz enviro groups. I wonder if they will still let the farmers get water to water the county dirt road that they are required by law to do if there's enough traffic, or will they just issue tickets?

The Klamath River deal ended up pitting the eviro's (save the fish) between the indians and coastal fisherman (save the fish-salmon) and the farmers (save our crops-we need the water)...tough deal all the way around.
If I remember correctly.....I don't remember the outcome....lol

ohh how I don't want to defend the Great One on this, but endangered species always win, I work in a Hydro Electric plant and they are slowly shutting us down because of the Hump Backed Chub:eek: that trash fish is more important than clean renewable power:eek:

flame suit is on....first read Cadillac Desert. Overview, Cali was and should be a damn desert, not a farming area. That state in the south has been bolstered and changed by irrigation, damming and sucking aquifers up. It was the Feds that started the water deals out there(that are not friendly to us tax payers) and helped create the "farming" mecca that is Cali. Why feel sorry for people farming in what in it's natural state is not good farm land?

sooo here is how it goes ...just in case any of you are not quite keeping up ........

MISSION: Thwart the free enterprise of agricultural growth of food, grain for live stock etc

STRATEGY: includes starving the populous hence making them powerless and subjective to Government handouts ..........

CONCLUSION: defacto of all before said individuals foreign and domestic with a focus on homeland conservative base populous and rectifing a common good..........

It was 8 years ago now...spring of 2001. Shut off water deliveries to 200,000+ acres of irrigated farm land. Put thousands of people out of work, and lots of farmers out of business.

That was a tame one. A couple of the signs were made to look just like government signs and posted along the roads towards major "tourist" areas. Hilarity ensued as the govt tried to get them taken down...can't control what's on private property.

I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt that you're trying to stir the pot, so I won't get riled up over this. Let me ask you this though: What do you do for a living?
