Calif Enviros shut down farming for smelt. Milk and produce from China?

Funny thing is the government planted a bunch of Bass. The Bass are eating the smelt. Rut Roh!

Tonight Hannity showed a clip from the floor of the House where TN Congressman John Duncan spoke to Congress about Dems voting down help for California farmers. They've had this vote two times. In some areas there is 40% unemployment and thousands of farmers are in food lines just to eat. Here's the Tally.

June 18 vote - 171 GOP voted for the farmers, 215 Dems voted for the minnow.

July 23 vote - 175 GOP voted for the farmers, all but 3 Dems voted for the minnow.

He didn't give the tally of September's vote.

Ok... I must be fff-nnn stupid. How does a little fish carry more weight with "LIBS" than the lives of the very people that helped to get them into office.
This damn fish doesn't fit the criteria of the ESA, by their own guidelines, it must be indiginous to the region, and it's not!!! WTF

because, like everything else, it's not about people.
It's about control.
The more rules they can get in place the more control they can get.
You have to remember, liberals thrive on emergencies. The more emergencies they can create, the more rules and laws they can pass.
Look at the economy. It crashed and the the next thing you know we have the feds taking over everything in creation and using the crash as an excuse.
Same with the fish.
If they can gain control of the land they can control what happens to it.
They don't care about the people, it's about control.
They may not even know what they care going to do with the land, they just want the control over it.
They may even back down and "allow" the water to flow again, of cource that would require you giving them something else that they want more.

I just talked to Max Baucus' water specialist yesterday about this to see how we can prevent it happening here and she wasn't even aware of it (typical response when calling about issues - Max is busy with gvt run "health care" and Jon is busy turning our sledding areas into wilderness).

With all of Montana's historical water issues....



I also forgot, when I was posting about what the Calif Congressman's office told me, I learned that the CVP (Central Valley Project) is a government program started in 1933 where the gvt basically said "if we build it they will come" or IOW, "If we build this water supply in this fertile valley that's otherwise dry, you farmers can come and farm it." So they came and farmed for generations. Now that same gvt shuts the water off.

A lot of the water they shut off also goes down to SoCal to give them their water.
