anyone buy a wrote off sled and didnt know?

i am going to sue, bottom line....all pics you sent me had the skis angled so you couldnt tell they were off...

it took 21 days for me to get the sled, and when i got it i had a busy week at work...etc...i couldnt look it over till then...and i am not claiming it on insurance cause that would be a faulty claim, and i could get charged for fraud! not going to do it!

the only damage from fright would be the damaged afr gauge, scored up windsheild from rbing on the pipe underhood for 6000km....unwrapped...and bent up gauge housing due to the fact you didnt wrap the bars with anything and layed them on the tank...and all the brake fluid came out cause it was upside down...again from you not crating the sled properly

i delt with all those little things plus alot more, and didnt say anything...but when inoticed the bulkhead bent it made me sick to my stomach that i spent so much money and got a real "twisted turbo"

why would i make up damage to look good? i wish there was no damage period...would like to have put up a post thanking you on the purchase, and great guy to deal with...etc...so you could sell more sled to guys on here!

you offered the money back cause i found out you were lying about how long you had the sled...where you got it....the history of the sled...etc
and when i traced it back and asked if the sled was brandons you said...no way that was the one that had the tunnel damage...then you told the truth and said it was the same sled....i said as long as its fixed i dont care...

whats the point of sending you the emails or pics of the sled when you flat out say your going to do nothing?>??>?>? your in the clear...etc...kinda useless if you ask me

but i will put some on this post to show everyone, and make sure no one gets into the same position i am in...

You obviously have no pic's b/c you said you had all this proof from Brandon etc... and still haven't seen anything. Talked to Brandon this morning again and he verify's everything i said. He replaced the side plate with the motor mounts. My Lawyer is waiting. Keep it up and i'll sue you for slander. Your story always changes and you blame me then Brandon, you can't seem to make up your mind. I tried helping you out and have emails to prove but this is ridiculous. You should try telling the truth Paul. I'm printing all this for my lawyer so keep up the b.s. I never onced said sled was in mint shape i told you of damage and had 2 other guys wanting the sled after they rode it. The handle bars were zip tied and taped just like when they come from manufacturer. You even stated i sent detailed pictures, heck i probably sent you over 20 pic's, numerous times. If the sled was mint i would have sold for $17500 but it wasn't. For you Americans a 09 M8 up here is over $10000 used and another $6000 for turbo not installed and then all the goodies. Why would i pay for damage i had no idea about and the guy i bought it off hasn't admitted to me. Kinda stupid, for all i know you hit a tree or the forklift dropped it. Still no PICTURES. As for that post from Brandon he looked at it lastnight and said you made it up. I'm caught in a catch 22, damned if i do and damned if i don't.

Crappy deal all of the way around, if you ask me. Nobody seems to be offering up any solid proof either way.

If you guys would pay $10k for a USED 2009 M8, something is seriously wrong. Your dollar difference isn't that far off from ours but a guy can go down and purchase a holdover 2009 M8 for 8000-8300.

Yes there is something seriously wrong... But as long as people keep letting themselves be absolutely raped buying new in Canada, it won't change. I feel bad for the dealers up here.

you and brandon dont have a lag to stand on...just keep pleading ingnorant...own up likr brandon did, come on i am just wanting justice!

but i guess he dosnt feel the same now...cause it might cost him a bulkhead!!!
hes pretty sly...

look into my snowest accout if you believe i made it up chis....i have them saved on my desktop so you can delete them if you wish...
pm me if you want the password

how were you trying to help me out? saying you own me nothing...???
lies are so fliud out of your mouth...

i blame both you and brandon...brnadon for doing this and covering it up..and not coming clean on it publicly...and you for not decribing the damages of the sled when i was looking at buying it...period!

the damage was done to the bulkhead ...before i got it...the top a arm mounts are still pushed in, therefore causing the skis to tip inwwsrds...and a-arms were changed foer used ones he bought here on snowest....and shock on that lh side is bent and does not go through it travel...must have been on when the bulkhead damage occured...sounds like i am fabricating lies to me!

and that piece of rubber is on the same side with the shock damage...
and used a-arms were put on...every pic you sent me it has the skis turned...seems like some you used to be a sled mechaic...wouldnt be able to tell the bulkhead was tweaked? coincidence i think not...

i will get pics when i can, am working another 16hrs today...hopefully tomarrow morning...

thanks for the coments all

Brandon,
Just heard from Paul today and he said that you told him you wrecked the front end on that sled you sold me and that you patched it and replaced a-arms on it. Is that true? If so you failed to mention that to me. Don't you think that might be important info that i should know about. He mentioned that you told him it blows belts every 100 miles! If this is true and this gets ugly with Paul i will have no recourse but to get my lawyer involved and come after you. I hope we can avoid lawyers but that would be pretty sleazy if what Paul says is true. Please respond asap.

No what i told paul after he contacted me was to ride the sled about 200 miles and see if he had any issues. he wrote me all worried that he got riped off by you. i told him that i would send him pics of the sled to show him how it looked when i slod it to you. i also told him like i told you i had rode the **** out of the sled. i had bent things and replaced them all even went and rode the sled myself to ensure it was in good working condition. you got a good deal on that sled and made money off it so if you want to get a attorney involved be my guest i have all his info ready for you. Thanks if you want more info of this ill do my best to help you both. Brandon

That sucks Mod800R. Damn expensive lesson to learn. Been there, been screwed in about the same way, but for only $1300. Never trust a voice that doesn't have a set of eyes you can look into! He knew he was selling me junk, but somehow in his twisted brain it was OK cause somebody screwed him too! Later, he let that slip out, like it mattered.

You might be better off just moving on and fixing the mess, unless emails or PM's can be admitted as evidence? Maybe now that faces have been put to names, some of these guys want to salvage their dignity, but I wouldn't count on it. Sadly, dignity is a commodity that doesn't pay off for a lot of people. Not much comfort to you now, but they will likely get what's coming to them ;) Believe it!! what comes around goes around.

One guy trying to cover his azz and the other equating "rode the chit out of it" to "the chassis is trash" Shame on you guys.

chris well get in this postion some day, and it will look good on him...

but i have proof cause brandon bell sent me a pm admitting the bulkhead was messed...etc...so thats why i am going to take this as far as i can go...

chis plays the ignornat prick role very well...but he will learn that being a bigger man takes admitting he was wrong and owing up to his mistakes...and being honest...

i am glad you chose to live your life like this, but chris you would enjoy life more if you stayed on the straight and narrow path...and karmas a ***** my friend...

pics comming this afternoon....getting off work early

Thats too bad but for that kind of money I would have to inspect it myself. Plus being a used turbo'd sled you know its got to be pushed to the limit. Its wrong the dude misrepresented the sled but over $16,000 sight unseen on a recreation vehicle- wow

There are 2 parties at fault here, #1 being the seller, and #2 being the buyer. The original owner really has nothing to do with this whether he dropped it off a 100' cliff, or treated it like a trailer queen.

First off, those pictures in the original add, the sled isn't a creampuff by any means, it's been ridden hard, put away wet, obviously taken apart. It's had a hard life. $12k was a streach for it.

Was the seller honest with you? Did you ask questions such as "has the sled been wrecked"? "Is there any problems with it"? "Any rips in the seat, cracks in the hood, susp straight, tunnel bent"? What were the answers to these questions? If seller lied about direct questions, then he has fault.

As a buyer, why didn't you look at it before sending a check for $16k???? If you had looked at it, would you have bought it??? Were you under the impression that this sled had a warranty?

Like I said, two parties at fault, and I'm leaning toward the buying party to unfortunatly making a bad decision and, yes, going to be out some money, but a huge part of this was brought upon by himself.

Getting an attorney involved??? No way, no how. Those rat pigs would cost you thousands, and in court a judge would rule in the favor of the seller. Best case the judge rules to perform repairs.

the reason i didnt get it inpected is because chris is a former sled mechainc, and answerd ever question that i asked...and i felt i am a good judge of character...and so i took his work for it...

chris tol me to go after brandon for the money...he was just the middle man who bought the sled...without knowledge of the bulkhead damage...figured it was messed up...then he dumped it on me so he wouldnt have to fix it.

and now hes all over snowest looking for cream puf low milage mountain sled...his excuse is that he buys sled sto sell them at a profit...sounds like a good cover if you ask me...

in canada there are laws in place so if you buy a machine and the faults were not mentioned or covered up...

i would have never bought it if i seen all the damage...but is pics covered the flaws nicley

All of this could have been avoided with a little common scents.

That aside, if the sled had any serious damage it should have been disclosed if either seller had knowledge. There is no legal recourse for any of you so you might as well stop the threats and find a way to work the problem out like honest men. Figure out the cheapest way to get it fixed right and split the cost. If the first seller had knowledge of the damage and sold it undisclosed the cost should be spit 3 ways. If the last seller sold the sled without knowledge of the damage and if I was the seller and found out about the damage after I sold the sled I would man up and help get it fixed. Regardless of what the law may or may not require, I'd do it because its the right thing to do.
