anyone buy a wrote off sled and didnt know?

It's a sad day when we can't trust our fellow snowwest riding friends. You got screwed by someone we all would consider family on here. So I don't know abou the rest of you, but thats not the kinda family and friends I like to deal with. I say if he doesn't address problem with ya, post his emails to ya stating excellent blah blah blah and we will all be saved another learning experience with an expense. I'm really feeling for ya, and hope you can get up and riding soon. I can say the one thing that I so strongly believe in that will eventualy come back to bite anyone in the *** is called "KARMA" So good luck to ya my snowwest friend and hope you get to ride soon. PEACE OUT!!!!

Exactly.... Who needs enemies when you have "friends" like that?

Seriously, I feel bad for you, but it is what it is.
There isn't a thing you can do about it, except for swallow the pill, fix it up and ride it.
I don't see why the seller should have his name plastered on the internet, he made an internet ad up, and delivered the product. Unless the title is clouded, or salvaged it's your baby. Next time go take a look at what your buying.

Scew that Post his name up if he won't own up to it. I don't want to be buying things in swap from someone who has screwed members in the past. Heck yes he deserves to have his name plastered in every place possible!

I hate to see this type of thing happen!! I know from my experiences that I won't buy without seeing it for myself. Hubby has had good luck with his purchases on line, me not so much. I am sure being a girl had a part in it(I hate to say that). But with the economy being in the state it is in, it will happen more and more until we see a turn around. So when buying used stuff, not just sleds make sure you really get it checked out!!! :( Sorry to hear of your misfortune.....but KARMA does happen!!!!

Exactly! He knowingly misrepresented the sled. He knew something was majorly wrong (going through belts every hundred miles) and didnt say anything about it. Regardless of what the legal right or wrong is in this situation...........morally the seller is in the wrong. Post up his name.

is there a damage disclosure on the title? if there is and he said clean title here in the states you have the legal right to get $ money back as thats fraud.

post up names so no one has trouble again

hey guys am waiting one more day to see if he willl get back to me, if not i will talk a lawer...and will post up the 2 guys names that are involved...

the sled was for sale on here in swapmeet in december...i didnt know that either...

Don't cut your losses!!!!

If the seller makes a true effort to make it right, then I say he should have a chance to, without him being exposed.

If he doesn't, hang him up on a pole and let the community stone him.

If more people would just go after these guys, and they had to pay for their consequences... we would see less of this fraud.

That's a load of crap, doin someone like that. That's why I will NEVER buy a used sled I can't personally see. For that kind of money, you'd have been better off buying a used stock machine and having someone put the turbo on for you.

$16387.0843

That is what he paid in US dollars for a USED sled, shipping and all. I don't see how somebody could say that he saved money in the deal. My buddy just picked up a new in the box holdover 2009 M8 Snopro for 8300.00, throw a turbo at that thing and he is into it for less than what this poor fellow dropped. For that kind of money I would have expected to receive an immaculate sled. He just plain got taken and I feel bad for him because he just plain lost 16 Grand. Now he's gotta spend 1000s more to make it ride-able. The seller should be hung out for the vultures by his nut sack.

Yeah new 09 dragon from carls...8500.00 turbo kit and suspention fron code red..6600.00...all new 250 hp sled 15,100.00 ???

Forget waiting. Post the douche-bags names up. Did they give you respect or honesty? NO! They basically have said "Eff you" so get a lawyer and go after them. They may very well settle vs having to hire an attorney themselves and take time away from work to deal with court. For 16k, I'd go after it.

Good luck!

I think that you are screwed. Bad decision to buy something like that sight unseen. There are no lemon laws for snowmobiles (that I know of). Even if you could go to court, the guy can just play dumb and say he didnt know about any problems. My suggestion is just buy a new tunnel and rebuild that sucker.

My oh my, sad deal for sure. Someone always has to learn the hardway, hope all the emailed pictures are saved. Hurry and post up the names already.

I was the one who bought from the guy in Washington, you guys should get both sides of the story before casting stones. I was unaware of any damage to bulkead, i inspected it and bolted it to the crate. The only damage was cosmetic and the handlebars were tweaked and i told him that. The previous seller never disclosed any bulkhead damage and still claims he never did. I'm afraid it could be damage caused by shipping, the sled was in Toronto for 6 days and freight company wouldn't insure load. I have pictures and witnesses to verify my story as well as all the emails. Buddy was mad because i bought sled in US and sold it in Canada to make a profit. I tried helping but the guy is unreasonable to deal with.

chris, stop trying to cover your ***!!!

i have pms from the ori owner stating he bent the bulkhead, straightened it out and made the hood look half straight closed... and i forwarded you that email of him telling me the bulkhead is tweaked, and he dosent owe me ****...to go after you...etc...

he sold it to you...you didnt notice right away that it was bent....drove it for 60 miles, figured it out and tried to pawn off the sled for a profit...all pics you sent has the sleds skis tuned and you couldnt could tell there was any damage...maybe it was because b randon bought a used set of arms on here and bolted it on a damaged bulkhead to dump it!

how am being unreasonable...i put zero miles on the sled...and have a 15500 dollar sled that has alot of damage to it that i was unaware of...alot becides the bent bulkhead!

you need to own up and do whats right, go after brandon for scamming you if your story is true...and pay for the bulkhead...and i am going to take this as far as i can legally...not for the money...but just for the morals...

thanks for all the support guys, appreciate it very much

paid 15500 plus 1400 shipping for it!!!

- skis are tipped inwards on both sides but all suspention components look good?
- tunnel has gaps in between the bumper...tunel ever bent?
- steering post is bent down on the brake side
- steering post bushing is completely gone
- drivers are worn and had deep cuts in them
- sled has gouge in bulkhead just before the drivers
- right running board is tweaked a little
- no clamps on rear cooler
- wiring was messed under the bars

did the skis have big gouges in them when you sold it?

chris told me the sled was mint and needed nothing...and all the pics he took only showed the good parts...i was rotted when i uncrated the sled...and chris wont do anything for me...he said it was shipping damage...

just want to know the shape of the sled when you sold it to him...i know i got ripped off...but just want to know really what happened...chris wont answer me...and i got a beat down sled for almost 17 grand canadian

Sorry to hear that man. he has barley ridden it since i sold it to him for 12,200 us cash. the sled had 1160 on it when i sold it. i have rode the sht out of the sled. my recomendation would be to ride it at 8 to 10 lbs boost for about 200 miles on a new belt and see how its wearing. i bent the bulkhead on that sled last season. i jacked it apart and rleplaced the peice next to the clutchs. and reset it. i think it will be fine. i didnt hit anything with it i just took a BIG drop with it and landed very HARD. 100 ft

just want to know what happened...

Paul,
the sled is hard on belts to start with because of how much power it can put out. but yes is the sled is going through a belt every 100 miles the bulkhead it flexing causeing it the get out of deflection. i think it will be fine. if you look above the cervo motor betwwen the gas tank and the plactic seperating the engine compartment and the seat area(about where your knees hit) there should be a 1/4 inch piece of rubber helping make the hood look straight. pull that out and close the hood and you can see how far out the bulkhead is. when i sold it the ski's where flat and ground. the hadle bars where bent down on brake side about a half an inch. and the tunnel was staight the running boards where bowed evenly on each side. i can email you my picture of the sled if you want to see what it looked like when it was sold

Brandon

Sorry to hear it. I sold an 07 xrs to a guy and told him it ran awesome. 8 miles is all he got on it before the motor went. I suspect it got moisture in it. I bought him a new motor so I can sleep at night. The thing with buying used is you never know whether your buying someone else's junk. Next time go look at it first.

I didn't receive those emails Paul or any pic's! Brandon said it wasn't bent and i forwarded the email i got from him to you. I rode it 60 miles to tune in for lower boost and elevation. I bought the sled to sell not to keep. You are the one making up damage and/or stories to make yourself look good but i have all my emails saved so bring on the lawyer and i promise you wont get any help Period. I tried being reasonable but you are the one scamming me because i'm a nice guy. If Brandon was straight up and said he screwed me and i would have known before i sold the unit i would definitely help out. I'm not an a##hole like you think i am. But when you don't show any proof of such damage and bring all this to my attention a month later makes me wonder. You commented on other damage that was definitely from freight and yet you don't go through insurance. You can't sue me for not being told that the sled was damaged. The title was clear and everything looked and ran good when i had it. I had 3 other guys who know turbos and none complained about the sled or the condition. I also offered your money back before i even shipped it to you at no extra charge i might ad and you refused. I see you forgot to mention that.
