You are now officially spoiled. It won't ever be any easier than that. HAHA

I did the same thing when I was 12 but didn't get it out til the next day. However, we did get it out whole. LOL.

Off to a good start

My son's first victims of the 2011 early Canada goose hunt here in ND. All in all it was a good day. It's going to be a good bird hunting season here. Sloughs and pot holes are full and running over and good cover every where. Good population of resident birds, both migratory and upland.

General deer, upland birds, and drew a cow elk tag this year. Setup the game camera just for kicks last weekend in our elk area. Grouse and deer archery starts in September so not too far out now.

Have a lot of new goodies to try out this year. Got the new Kali pack by badlands, I really like it just wish it went a touch tighter on the waist. New binos, new rifle, etc..... I am ready and now after a week backpacking in the high country I'm even in shape!

When it comes time for a new pack check out the Mystery Ranch. I wear the Longbow version. After owning close to ten packs in my life, including Badlands, Cabelas, Northface, Eberlestock, etc. They don't even come close to comparing. They will custom fit one to your height, waist, back curvature, anything you can think of. Made in the USA and they definitely can talk the talk and walk the walk. Yes, they are pricey, but you will never have to buy another one again. I shot my archery elk last year while wearing it, and packed it out in two trips with a friend who also wears one. Can't say enough good things about them.

Looks good!

Sometimes I wish it was that warm out when I go hunting lol

Going to order some more decoys tonight from cabelas, Ill probably get the full size mallards. Right now I only have 12 of the smaller mallards but they sure do work well, 12 more wont hurt :face-icon-small-ton

I did some hunting yesterday.
Went into my barn to get a few things and there in front of me in my live trap was a skunk. Son of a bit**. I paced around a while wondering what to do, so i checked online for a few tips. I was supposed to walk up and throw a sheet over it. Forget that.
My idea was to get the biggest gun in my case and end this quickly. So i grabbed the 243 opened the barn door and set her off. The damn cage flew four feet and the skunk was done. Just as i started to smile the smell hit me.
Still a better idea than the sheet however.

LOL...Just about the same case last week. Went to use the porta-potty at one of our remote pump stations in the morning. Got just about close enough to open the door and, wow, smells like skunk. Get back a little and look underneath and there are two of the bastages under there. Can't carry guns in company truck so I call the rancher who lives by. He runs up on the 4 wheeler and hands me the oldest .22 I ever saw in my life, open sights and the sight is bent. I hook two ratchet straps together and snag the top corner so he can pull it up a little. Shot the first one and the other one starts spraying till he is pretty much out of his super powers. Outhouse was out of commision for the rest of the week. The stink was intense at first, then I couldn't smell it after a while. I thought maybe it wasn't that bad. Got home that afternoon and my wife made me undress in the garage and hose my clothes off outside. Guess I just got used to it...
