Any word on building (BOOST) sleds?…

Spent a day on a rental 2022 850 matryx khaos slash 155 N/A.

Makes the axys khaos chassis feel heavy and cumbersome.E25DA7BA-4CA8-4947-B5D5-D87080ABF17A.jpeg
The track above becomes the norm.

Bunny hop re entries.

A few more observations.

The 2 rentals we had in our group and ALL the 2022 rmk’s i’ve seen do NOT have the coated throttle cable the prototypes had.

The driver / anti stab / beefed up track works flawless. (Both sleds 155x2.75 3.5” pitch)

No vibration, no ratcheting even landing a jump full power, all in all a sweet ride.

The rear track wheels have rubber wrapped around the plastic (just like previous years trail sleds)

The cooler - tunnel- running boards collect zero to near zero ice.

Pictures right before heading back to the truck when the axys sleds were all boot humping huge chunks off the rear of the running boards.

Sidebar:
In my garage the night before measured 7/8” clearance at the top of tunnel above the drivers in the tightest spot.

Spoke with the Polaris reps at the Idaho Snow Show yesterday about delivery and confirmed they are planning to have the Boost Snow Check sleds to the dealers by December 15. Production lines are currently devoted to Boost production to meet the deadline.

Was it the dragon to pro difference some were touting, which i find hard to believe?

I need more seat time on something with similar power to my last year’s silber 800 khaos shocks and geometry 162 pc. Running 5# of boost.

However.
2021 khaos 850 155 vs 2022 khaos 850 155 n/a

The new sled just POPS off of everything you point it at and blip the throttle.

It is very noticeable the difference in centralized mass.

Swing a hammer holding the head vs holding the handle sort of comparison.

The narrow seat and tank are very very nice.

The running boards being clear and always ice free IS definitely like changing from dragon to 2013 pro.

The glovebox needs some more foam around the lid.
It got a bit of powder in it.

I noticed this on mine as well, no coating on the cable.

And no smart warmers? Not a concern for me as it's actually easier to wire in my heated brake and finger throttle. But Polaris specs had me thinking I'd have them. I do have standard gauge, I'd be curious to hear from those with 7S if they have smart warmers. Parts listings show same old heater switch, and same grip heaters across the new RMK lineup.

Also don't love the throttle cable routing... but I'm now sounding too picky, lol. I am really digging this sled so far!

@Sheetmetalfab looks like you had a good day, thanks for sharing! I'm hoping to get into some real snow myself later this week. Fingers crossed

smart warmers are only on sleds with 7s display.

That very well may be the case.

Though, on trail sleds the smart warmer brains appears to live in the handlebar switch module, and drive PWM power to 2-wire grip warmers. The trail manual also shows smart warmer temp settings for both standard and 7S gauges.

On the RMKs, I'm seeing the same old analog heater switch and 3-wire grip warmers.

I could be totally wrong, just something that has me curious. Can anyone with a 7S RMK confirm?

The rentals both had 7s display.
Rocker switch heater control and 3 wire warmers.

I didn’t mess with the gauge much except for getting the basics visible so it should still have the smartwarmer settings.

Put 41.5 miles on the odometer.

New grips are sweet.

Footwells in middle setting have tons of boot toe room.

Any idea if the trail sled smart warmer switch could be used on a non-7s sled? How about it controlling a heated brake lever as well?

I bet a lot of that "popping" is due to the 30% quicker accelleration from the new ECM, pickups, fueling etc. This is a game changer.

3 weeks on the nose until D(elivery)-day.

Hope these things start to appear soon [emoji51]

Albany lodge got 11 650 khaos for their rental fleet. Maybe us average joes will be last.

Our dealer has received a TON of n/a sleds. Just no word on boost.

They had about (10) matryx 165 pro / khaos sleds show up last week, and a delivery each Friday prior to that with 3-5 matryx sleds … just no boost.
