Any other handicapped riders out there?

WRP makes a great seat with the best non slip cover I have ever seen.
Give Marc or Doug a call and they can do about anything you want from the hight to adding width or even adding a low back to the seat.

7 years post, L1 incomplete. Motor function was left pretty much intact though. Just enough to give me a small taste of what living with a disability is about.

Big props to everyone who puts themselves out there. Ride on! :beer;

I am handicapped. And I ride ATV's and Sleds. I got lucky in my accident I guess.
I was riding Motocross and a guy came from across track off a jump and hit me in the back. L-1 Spinal Burst. So I am paralyzed for the knee down. Parapeltic is what it's called.
Other then that. I have a few other things that don't work. lol. Brain. Toes. ankles, calf muscles.
I live in Northern Colorado anyone around that wants to sled give me a shout.
thanks
jeff

Bummer, I did not know that. Sorry to hear.

Nothing to be sorry be for. Really. Yeah it's a bummer some days. But others are good. Sucks when you ask a woman out and she looks at your cane before she looks at you. lol
But I would not want to be with someone that is like that anyway.
I was breaking in a Brand new one day old 98 CR250 for the race season. Instead of jumping over jump I went down one side and up the other. Well I was on the right side of the track for slow traffic. But a guy came from across track, I mean totally across. And hit me from behind. Never saw it coming. Not much I could do. Thats life.

Right Hand Brake

anyone modify there sled to a right hand brake? i've been using a4x4 polaris brake control which been giving me problems leaking is there other options?

My son is missing his left hand from mid forearm down as a result of an ATV accident when he was 14.
He still loves to ride. Dirtbike, Quad, Sleds....

I set up the sled with a brake master from a YFZ450 quad. Lines match up and no leaks. Have had it on F-7 and IQR. Works great. Here are a few pictures of him riding

One armed now from injury in avalanche last winter

Im with some of you now..riding one armed. As a lot of you know, an avalanche in Mccall last March has left me with a nerve damaged dead left arm. Theres a chance it might slowly come back to about 50% use in the next year or so. Still prayin daily. Im just happy to be a member of the one-armed club because thank God my broken neck, femur, ribs, and head injury have healed. Bring on some pow turns! Lets do this guys! :) Matt Potratz

I have been missing my right leg from the hip now for 46 years and have been riding motorcycles and ATVs for years, and have been snowmachining for the last 14 years, and an avid archery hunter and target shooter.
so having a handicap does not mean we can't do a lot of things it just means we may have to adapt to things a lil differently sometimes, so Kudos to all those out there who are enjoying the great outdoors dispite there handicaps!! :face-icon-small-coo

Heading to West Yellowstone with my buddy the Professor (T11 Complete Paralysis) We designed and had a friend fabricate a custom made seat for the M-Series. Gonna give it a few trial runs in the Mountains over the next few days. We'll keep ya posted on how it works.

Hi guy's another T-5 here. Motocross accident back in 98. Been sledding only for a year now and this is what I have been missing. I got hooked up with Sledgimp and Marc at WRP and building a seat right now. cant wait to get it on and try it out. This is a great site and I look forward to riding with you guys some time.
