Any guesses on the US Open?

Who do you think will win this year? Here's some of the odds

Tiger Woods
Thirteen major wins and has a superb record at this course. Just back from a knee op but has won straight after surgery before. Great price.

10/3

Phil Mickelson
Three time runner up in the US Open in the last six years and knows the course well. Superb chance

8/1

Sergio Garcia
Has the accuracy required for this tournament and recent win in Players Championship highlighted a return to form. Could be the strongest of the Europeans.

16/1

Padraig Harrington
Gears his whole season around the Major Championships and has had some good finishes in this event. Dangerous.

22/1

Vijay Singh
For someone with 31 PGA Tour victories the US Open hasnt been that successful an event for Vijay. Perhaps this year could change all that?

33/1

I'm goin with Lefty again, only because he's been the runner up 4 or 5 times now, and he's due.

I say Graveler wins by a stroke.....

Chubby, OMFG you would not belive the rules that were sent with my credintials!

No Food/Drink, No cell phones, no cameras, no chairs, no bags allowed larger than 8''x8"x6", no smoking, no pets, no containers or coolers, no ladders , no ladders, no bicycles, no metal cleats, no firearms.....it goes on but you get the point!

There is almost no parking there luckily we have a shuttle running back and forth from the resort we are stayiing at! but general parking is 13 miles away ay Qualcom park with free shuttle service!

RLG...Man quit dogging us fat guys that like to drink and get away from the wives for a fun day Hmmmm alsmost sounds just like most snomobilers:face-icon-small-win

No posts in this thread since round 1...do you guys think Tiger will hold everyone off? His knee is killing him and you can just see the pain as he walks. What he's been able to do is nothing short incredible.

If anybody expected Tiger to miss that last putt, there crazy. Unbeleivable finish, hope Roco holds him off today. I'm not countin on it, but I like to see
1st time major winners. They appreciate it a little more than Tiger. How many strokes back did Graveler finish? :D

The POINT you missed is you DON'T need to be in great shape to win at golf. To me a sport requires that you be in GREAT shape, Tiger may be but he still gets beat by FAT out of sharp guys some of who even smoke!!

1. Why must every post you make be obnoxios with the HUGE spacing? Are you craving attention? Not to even mention your stupid signature.

2. Lets see you play 72+ holes of golf, while walking not riding.

Tiger works out 3 times a day. Most golfers do work out multiple times a day. Yes there are fat golfers who are NOT in shape, but there are not ANY fat guys that are out of shape in any other sport right?

Your argument has no substance.

Laugh at that.

^^^^^^^

I agree, and who are all these fat guys in golf that he speaks of? Name them.

You say that you don't have to be in good shape to play golf. I don't have to be in good shape to play football either. To play Professional football, YES I have to be in good shape, the same with professional golf. Comparing a pro golfer's swing to an average joe's swing is ridiculous. There are more mechanics to a golf swing than almost any other sport. Getting the swing "in the slot" with the clubface square, and hitting the ball 320 yards is not an easy feat. Not to mention the mental side of things.

I have to admit, I watched every hole that they showed on TV on all 5 days.

If you like golf, that was FANTASTIC drama, except for the anticlimactic final two shots yesterday on #19.

What a fantastic tournament. It's sure to go down in history as one of the greatest.

BTW, WOW, that is a fine shot of Ms. Gulbis........

Awesome!

OK guys that care(sorry RLG) I just returned from the US Open!!!!!!!

O>>M>>F>>G! I had the best time of my life! What a fathers day weekend!!!!

My wife so hooked us up! VIP Accomadations at the resort(room on the beach overlooking the Marina) VIP guests at the open with Torrey LODGE access and a concierge(sp) sweet with full bar and food all day! the suite had 4 plasma TV's and leather chairs for viewing when we needed a break, plus a deck that overlooked the 18th hole.

You can actually see the wife and I on TV standing on the deck of the suite when Phil Putted out on the 18th Hole Sunday (I tiVo'd) all 3 days! Yesterday we are behind Tiger on his second shot from the rough on the 18th and his T-shot from the 7th! we were also in the background shot in the opening telecast from NBC sunday at the practice putting green(first 2 minutes of the telecast.)

For the few golf guys on here you will understand my post because just being there is cool but with 53,000 fans following Rocco and Tiger it was friggin insane. The atmosphere was sooo cool and people were cool in the morning but towards the end the drunks were taking over! but it was still an experiance of a lifetime!

to compare my day to Nascar its like having a pit pass, and getting invited back to the gibbs trailer for lunch and drinks:face-icon-small-win
