another shaft failure

My dealer says they have seen 2013 a arms with this same problem. 4 sleds already but they havent seen any shaft issues.

Put mine on its side today to see how hard the glue was. The excess easily scraped off and stuck to the end of a flat head screwdriver... No miles on the sled other than heat cycles in the garage. Me and the dealer are gonna have a talk monday.

77 miles on our new Pro's today, no issues of any kind. I checked the drive shafts on both sleds numerous times and both appeared to be just fine every time.

Yes, you have posted your calculations and repeated how they are complete idiots. If this is all true, how do you explain how they managed to survive all of the spring testing without having these issues, yet all of a sudden they are falling apart?

Idiots? That is your description, not mine.

As some persons in the know have stated on here, the spring test sleds apparently had the steel driveshafts. Just because some driveshafts have hardened Lords 406 coming out of the injection and breather holes, does not mean that the driveshafts are going to make it 5000, or 10,000 miles. Stress reversal fatigue type failures, take time for those stress reversals to occur, in order for the failure to occur. The better the mixing of the glue, the longer the driveshafts will last, to a point. It is barely past Thanksgiving, and you are a little premature in declaring a VICTORY.

I can see all activity and what is put up or erased... nothing of yours has been erased.

Polaris simply does not have the ability to erase things on this forum... and the moderators/admin have not.

Here is a list of all of your posts that you've made.... maybe you've misplaced it??

Actually Mountainhorse, I was getting a lot of accolades for good posts, and when I went back to visit them, my original posts have been deleted. TWO DIFFERENT POSTS! Somebody with a vested interest in keeping the unconservative design information away from the public, would be the logical choice for deleting it. I am sure that Polaris has a pile of pull with whomever is the moderator on these threads.

Tested RK Tek Clamps in Cooke this Weekend!

Put over 100 miles on in Cooke City this weekend. Our group had Kelsey's clamps on 4-2013 Pro's we had no failures. Another group that was out there blew there driveshaft and a belt on one of there pros. We never noticed the slightest balancing issue. I think it would be very hard to throw the balancing off when the clamps are so close to the bearings where the shaft rides in. The clamps are machined the same pretty much all the way around. No balancing issues what so ever. Thanks again Kelsey for a piece of mind and a great product. By the way we have these clamps on 12 sleds but only 4 of us were able to ride this weekend. So we'll keep you posted.

NOT TRUE!******Re-read the Spring demo ride posts! The '12 steel shaft was only used in one chassis cutaway demo that was on a stand so people could ogle it! No engine, nor body panels etc.

In regards to posts being deleted, after so many replies in one thread, the software will automatically start deleting the older posts. I think the magic number is like 150 or so, which this thread has exceeded.

Mountainhorse, please correct me if I'm wrong.

WITG, how can you read anything in what I posted as declaring VICTORY? My point is, we don't know what is going on yet, and the shafts definitely haven't been on the snow long enough to prove your theory. You still haven't answered my question.

95 miles on my 2013. 70 of those in waist deep powder no drive shaft failures. Rode boulder in Revy Friday and Saterday didn't see one 2013 on the hook and talked to lots Of guys. Sounds like if you make it over 20 miles you are fine.
