Why is the term "Global Warming" so hard to understand?? Maybe we better use "climate change" for people that don't want to change, to easier understand what is actually happening. It's not allways going to be warmer everywhere.

The slight warming of "our" planet causes major changes in the earths oceanic currents and atmospheric currents creating extremes in weather. Can anyone argue that?

The introduction of greenhouse gases to an ecosystem does what to that ecosystem???? You guessed right...increases the amount of heat allowed to enter into that ecosystem and remain captured by that ecosystem. Can anyone argue this???

The burning of fossil fuels, the reduction of "our" forrests etc. etc.etc all reduce the planets ability (in so many ways) to scrub that greenhouse gas from our atmosphere to a balanced, sustainable level. Can anyone argue that??

The thing is....the warmer "our" planet gets, the less efficient the natural systems of this ecosystem are in keeping that ballance. Once that wheels momentum overcomes the friction of it rolling it will not stop until it collapses under strain.

For me here in Northern Alberta...it is warm as hell...10degrees celcius...or something like 45 degrees Farenheit (guess). Has been for a week. It's not that it's warm...it's that it is an extreme of weather caused by climate change that you can't ignore it.

These are all simple questions that I have asked above and they have all been scientifically proven. They are all FACT. You can't deny it.

There are natural cycles.
There are people that care only about capital gain and will exploit this issue.
There are companies that spend millions and millions of dollars in their efforts to repute these "facts".

Would you all prefer to do nothing only to find out mankind is the major cause of catastrophic events on Earth??

Change is a good thing...it is part of evolution. Mankind must evolve in all ways to survive. Our current relationship with the ecosystem we live in is NOT symbiotic. It is parrasitic.

With warming temps. and no snow in the forecast, global warming has once again reared its ugly head, proving the season is slow but surely winding down. With seasons undeniably growing shorter and shorter, hopefully everyone has had the opportunity to get out and enjoy what winter we have had. Feel free to share your thoughts as you reflect back on this short season.

I think weather patterns change ........... parts of Montana that were amazing 5 years ago are thin this year .......... However other parts of Montana ...... IE Cooke City ........ have stupid amounts of snow!!!! ..... forget bumper deep ......... it went straight to head light deep

I think were just in a goofy inversion weather system right now, it seems like they last a couple weeks then its back to normal. Here in a week or so everybody will be raving about the awesome ride they just had.

All of your so called "facts" have also been disproven. Time and time again. Depends on who's mantra you choose to dance to.
There are far more companies that will spend even greater amounts of money to exploite these "facts". Lots of new jobs were created to promote this voodoo logic and gross generalizations. Plenty of money in the eviro-nuts pockets.
I love how the Global Warming/ Climate Change camp has an answer for everytime their predictions prove to be false. "It a paradox." "The 'earth' is trying to correct itself."

The only indisputable "fact" is that the planet's climate has been changing for over 4 BILLION years. Without any help from us.
What is very much in dispute is how much effect, if any at all, are we causing.
Those of us who grew up in the 60s and 70s can remember all the same "experts" running around like chicken little saying we were headed into the next ice-age. Ironically for many of the same reasons.

If global warming is such a terrible world ending thing, answer me this.
Why is that during the middle ages the earth was actually 2 degrees warming than it is right now?
That was followed by a mini-ice age, followed by a warming spell, followed by a cooling spell, etc.

See a pattern?
Not if you listen to Al Gore.

Global warming is easy to understand, whats hard to understand is the morons that think we should pour trillions of dollars down a hole just to feel better about a situation we can't do anything about.

Is it a good thing to do things cleaner and better?
Sure it is, but not at the expense of all other things.

Oh, and the very people that are crying the end of the world are the same ones that were yelling back in the 70's about the coming ice age.

there is nothing new about the "january Thaw" has been going on for many years. Big man why don't you just go spend more time on the green sites and less on SW. We are just sick of hearing that type of B$.

So, BigMan. Please tell us, why does a global temperature variations, indicate "Global Warming". Under what condition could you possible not have a varying global temperature. At what point in history, was there no global warming then? When we entered the last ice age, the temperature was changing, so was that global warming?

Now, say the planet cooled down 0.6 degrees in the past year, across the entire planet, as measured by satellites. What would be a proper name for that thermal trend? What if I told you we are 3.6 degrees below the average temperature of the earth, just 1000 years ago. Would that be global warming, or global cooling? What if I told you the sun hit the earth with 174 petawatts of continuous power with a variance of 0.1%, thereby making up 99.978% all energy hitting the planet. Fossil fuel waste heat contributing only 0.007%. Another words, the sun varies more than all of humanity can produce.

So, why did we have a cooling trend from 1945 to 1975? Human activity was at a all time high, post WWII, but global temperatures fell?

In your opinion, since we can reason that change is the norm, which is worse, global cooling, or global warming? Wouldn't it bother you more, if the earths temperature never changed?

Are you willing to help reduce the human contribution global warming, by reducing human numbers? Is the heat on in your house? How are you talking on the internet without contributing to global warming.
