Another season starting to wind down..

global warming is just a bunch of crap, snow has been on the ground since sept 27 here, the ice road froze a lot quicker this year then normal, its been -30 to -48 for the past 6 weeks, now, its -1 meaning a very big storm or blizzard is coming, and will get down to - 40s within a day, and stay for weeks and weeks

so really ask yourself a question, if it goes from -60 to -58, does it really melt that much faster? hahaha word for thought, haha

and besides everything runs in cycles, its life

hmmmm, something smells a little fishy.. HAHAHA

Wow, only 4+ months to go. Yep, winding down.
Either you are pulling peoples legs here, or you are one of the most uneducated sledders I have met.

Or more likely a greenie plant.

You've gotta love the G/W camp's tactics on this. Weather warms up...global warming. Weather cools down....global warming. Long winter....global warming. Short winter....global warming.
x2. Can anyone name one thing that does not change. What makes anyone think that the earth shouldn't. All living things go through changes as they:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: age. Even you BIG MAN, when your other one drops and your voice changes you might understand. Or maybe thats caused by global warming too

You must be crazy! Here in MN this is the most snow we've had to date in 40 years and the longest below zero streak in 13 years! I would say we are doing pretty good for being in the middle of a global meltdown!

So, BigMan. Please tell us, why does a global temperature variations, indicate "Global Warming". Under what condition could you possible not have a varying global temperature. At what point in history, was there no global warming then? When we entered the last ice age, the temperature was changing, so was that global warming?

Now, say the planet cooled down 0.6 degrees in the past year, across the entire planet, as measured by satellites. What would be a proper name for that thermal trend? What if I told you we are 3.6 degrees below the average temperature of the earth, just 1000 years ago. Would that be global warming, or global cooling? What if I told you the sun hit the earth with 174 petawatts of continuous power with a variance of 0.1%, thereby making up 99.978% all energy hitting the planet. Fossil fuel waste heat contributing only 0.007%. Another words, the sun varies more than all of humanity can produce.

So, why did we have a cooling trend from 1945 to 1975? Human activity was at a all time high, post WWII, but global temperatures fell?

In your opinion, since we can reason that change is the norm, which is worse, global cooling, or global warming? Wouldn't it bother you more, if the earths temperature never changed?

Are you willing to help reduce the human contribution global warming, by reducing human numbers? Is the heat on in your house? How are you talking on the internet without contributing to global warming.

It's just another avenue for the government to impose mandates and requirements on citizens. That equals more control. It will eventually become something that places such huge demands on the way we live and how we have to do things that some will not be able to afford their homes, a new car, energy bills, yearly required house maintenance. It's sick and I can't stand all the puppets in our society accepting stupid ideas. Things change, nothign stays the same, weather changes, humans are not the source of all bad things. It's January, it's fricken winter according to the calender. The weather doesn't know the date.

Whose season is almost over? That's the most retarded thing I've ever heard! North America was very cold in 2008, and the worldwide temperature was also down in 2008. (Wait... I guess I forgot that cooler temperatures result from global warming.)

Ice ages they have come and gone, we have had 3 major ones out of 5 in earths history so the scientific people say, yes we might be helping it along a bit but not by much its on a repeating track and it will never end, and as to seasons getting cut down longer or shorter its simply weather patterns and rotations. The last ice age is still ending. I think the sledding season has just started myself it will be here till late may early july and its going to be another good season of riding xD.

Correct me if im wrong though.

Socialist International? Isn't that the organization that Obama's newly appointed "Climate Czar" was a member of? I can't wait to see the agenda that she embraces.

Im thinkin "global cooling" in MN.. its been cold here for awhile and have seen some of the best snow weve seen in years! Good snow months are still ahead of us if im not mistaken....

I think one could argue "Global Warming" is a generic term. I believe the earth has gone through periods of Global Warming and Global Cooling and you could apply both terms accordingly.

One could argue if it warms up outside tomorrow global warming is occurring. Or you could say let's look at 10,000 year trends where tomorrow's heat wave would be insignificant. It's all about perspective.

I believe the variations in global temps are caused my a number of things such as tilt of the earth, volcanic ash, continental drift, pangea, etc.. I do believe the affects of one can induce the opposite. For example, Global Warming can melt ice caps pumping cold water into the ocean altering oceanic currents and ultimately affecting climate in various part of the world. One must not confuse macroclimate with microclimate. Remember, the oceanic currents flowing around Pangea caused one ice age. One cannot underestimate the influence these currents have on world climate.

Once again, I'm not claiming humans are causing Global Warming or Cooling, whatever phase you believe we'er in right now. Humans may not be contributing, or we may, who's to say. I'm not a professional, I gathered all my data in my front yard..

Dang it!! I am sorry. I think I just contributed to global warming. It does feel a little warmer in here now and strangely a little fowl.

With the incoming administration prepare yourself for an avalanche of legislation that will directly effect you as a snowmobile enthusiast. Global Warming will be a religion practiced in the Obama White House, which will give them the excuse to take away your freedoms, private property rights and public land access. Dont kid yourself on what the global warming "phenomenon" truly is, a thinly veiled socialist excuse to redistribute the worlds wealth and enact there eco-freak agenda
