Another season starting to wind down..

With warming temps. and no snow in the forecast, global warming has once again reared its ugly head, proving the season is slow but surely winding down. With seasons undeniably growing shorter and shorter, hopefully everyone has had the opportunity to get out and enjoy what winter we have had. Feel free to share your thoughts as you reflect back on this short season.

I certainly don't mean to upset you, but isn't spring only 8 weeks away anyway?? I believe it is. And per the forecast, it seems spring is coming early this year.

And if the term "Global Warming" makes anyone uneasy, we can certainly term it something else, I just like to call a spade a spade.

yer right, it is a shame our planet is in such an uproar. Hate to see that everyone has to stay home and not head to my favorite riding areas. It's a shame there is NO SNOW where we usually ride...

That my friend is a definitive indication of Global Warming... extreme swings in weather patterns, with some experiencing the paradox of a good winter, while others are becoming enthralled in the heat of a warming planet.

I hear and agree with what you're saying... except for one implication.. the implication that we Homo sapiens are the cause of Global Warming. Maybe we are or aren't the cause, but just because one does not believe we as people are mighty enough to induce Global Warming, surely doesn't mean we have to exclude the possibility of the planet warming under its own power.

Yes there are natural cycles of global warming, as well as ice ages.

Are we the cause? I highly doubt it, and as a sledder, I hope I can hold out until the next ice age!

We are experiencing some of the most precipitation, and the coldest temp's on record as a continent. If it can be attributed to global warming... THEN BRING IT ON!!!

We call it the the January thaw, happens most every year. Went for a ride today, sinkin about 6"on top of 100".

global warming is just a bunch of crap, snow has been on the ground since sept 27 here, the ice road froze a lot quicker this year then normal, its been -30 to -48 for the past 6 weeks, now, its -1 meaning a very big storm or blizzard is coming, and will get down to - 40s within a day, and stay for weeks and weeks

so really ask yourself a question, if it goes from -60 to -58, does it really melt that much faster? hahaha word for thought, haha

and besides everything runs in cycles, its life
