Very sad ordeal, thoughts and prayers are with the family right now. I saw some pics of the slide and I know that hill, not sure wtf he was thinking climbing that, its a bad enough hill in the best of times let alone with this sketchy snowpack.

Nope, its in Bauer's Second Chance. Pretty much next to the hill that slid that SaskSummit filmed earlier this week.
It is just to bad this year, so very sad. I am not suprised it is bound to happen, but it is sad people need to be more careful and watch out. I am very glad and lucky to be here, had a very close call this year and it really made me think. Sadly, it was not such a good experience for everyone else. One of the people there, who was there for the close call, about a month later had to dig out his buddy unsuccessfully. I guess it did not hit home with him, until he lost a good friend. When i'm riding in the mountains next, going to be a lot more careful who i'm riding with that's for sure!
