Another 900 Build...SURE WHY NOT!!

Just curious, but why are you running the electric start clutch?

Good eye Zane..its simple..

Indydan told me last year that the ring gear helps in the rotational balanced of the crank..so I bought a new clutch with it on there...he has also been known to add the ring gears to the TM 1 and 2 clutches when he send them back...must be for good reason!!

Sled is done, just need to ride it...just need to bleed the coolant, re-torque clutch when i get it outside to ride!!

was planning on going this week for a test ride, but we are still on city limit restriction for the Inspection we have going on. :(

Its gonna be -22 out tonight anyways...so hasnt been much a want to go this last few days anyways, LOL...

so...officially off restriction this coming Friday, but i have a Demo ride a few hours away on a new Pro on Sat. so will get the 900 out on monday for sure. only have like 3 days off that i can get the sled out, ridden, adjusted and make sure all is good before Cooke City..

Got a New Skinz 09 front bumper on ebay for $65, so using that on this sled, Thanks to Diamond Dave for the help on the OEM bumper, but wont need it, so giving it to Andrew (Skisucca) since his is destroyed worse then mine, lol....

Powder coated the Hood hinge Orange, looks pretty cool i think..siliconed the gaps in the plastic....

BUT...the plastic is still not lining up very well on the side panels to hood...and a section on the PTO side nose fender....BUT OH WELL...i can deal with it...i can honestly careless, i just wanted it to look great for others that look at it really...but i am over it...something in the nose area is tweaking the plastic and jacking up the alignment...ill look into it this summer

Wifes sled is ready to go as well, just need to bleed the coolant, re-torque clutch when i get it outside to ride!!

Cool, remind me is this the 975 or 900? I can't keep track of ALL your sleds.

LOL.

yeh the 975 is next now...since this one is done.

the 975 is in my 05 900 build in my sig.

need to send the pistions in to Swains Tech Coatings for their majic on the wiescos....and then send the injectors in to Witch Hunter for the cleaning/flow test ect....

but can focus on that now, and get it together for the Revy trip....

see you in a few dave....;)

Sean that sled is one bad mother ****er ! Good work buddy !

LOL...thanks Zane...you had me all proud and it felt good, then you crushed me with that statement, lol..

thanks guys...these kind of statements is much appreciated...and makes me feel better considering the amount of time, money ive put into them....

as long as it runs great for me thurs, in cooke city, revy...ill be the happiest SUMBITCH alive :face-icon-small-coo

i tend to wanna mess with chit so it "looks cool" but there are WAY more of you guys that have a semi-stock 900, but its bullet proof and tuned like a monster...and those are the guys i look up to...they dont waste their money like i do, LOL!! Ill learn....or will I??? ;)

Well...UPDATE ;)

Got to take this bad mother out today for the FIRST ride of the season for me...and it ran SO DAMN GOOD...NOT a single issue whatsoever...pulled like a MO-FO and had much more left in her...

i just went for a simple test/tune ride...only dide about 25miles total...wanted to take it easy to get it running good, and make sure all is well...didnt get on the throttle real hard either...but MAN was it there...lol..

Temps stayed at 115 all day on the trails/POW

Rpms were solid..didnt do ANY WOT, but got 2 little hillclimbs in and i saw 7600/7700 rpms...so should be about perfect at 7800rpms if i wanted to give her the onion...

so i am pretty stoked and flying high...

will get out again on Wed next week for another ride, and off to Cooke City the following week for 3 days of POW...

just have to work on the plastic fitment now and i can call it quits....hood to side panel isnt right, and hood hinge to nose plastic isnt right on one side....!!

just some simple pics to show you proof i was out there in the snow, LOL!!

Nice

Gotta admit, that is one of the "most custom" sleds I have seen in a long time and nice to see it at Kings Hill! Let me know about Monday cause I am very flexible so far as long as it includes snow and HP! Congrats on the problem free first run!:face-icon-small-coo
