Another 08 and Earlier Front Bumper Option Coming Soon!

SLP airbox and Skinz Bumper....NO!

Hey bud.

i am sorry to inform you that you are correct..the Skinz bumper will not work with the SLP airbox because the desgin utilizes the front section of the sled.

The only airbox you can use with the Skinz Bumper, or ANY aftermarket bumper for that matter, would have to be modified stock, or the Fire N Ice airbox, which is a GREAT addition and by far the best available airbox for these sleds..

Good luck, do some research on here about the SLP airbox, you really need to dump that thing and get one that will not clog and suck heat from the engine compartment..

HAHA..just sharing your wisdom with the others Paul..or at least passing on the info you told me before when i asked the same questions..HAHA..

i will be in touch shortly with the other stuff im getting from you..glad to see the bumper you guys got going is working out so well.

Thanks for the info!
Been looking at the post on the FnI and SLP air box, Guess I should buy a new air box also..
Sucks when you brake your sled, but sucks more when your just moving it by hand and you brake it :mad::mad:
I was moving my sled about a week ago in the trailer and I ripped the bumper off with my hand picking it up. Thought well might as well up grade, instead of wasting money on cheep plastic parts.....

oh yes..the classic tear off..its happened to 90% of the guys with that design..
it is a terrible design by polaris..and luckily we have a couple places to lean on for a fix for there mistakes..check out Treedogs bumper, TCP (tri-city polaris) like the one i have-IF you can find one, and of coarse the AMAZING skinz design..

yes unfortunately, you will have to replace your intake, BUT even though its more money $300 (for the intake) you will be WAY happier with the performance, design and future options with upgrades since theirs is the only one available that allows for add-ons to the front end..

PM me if you need any help or for some places to get some stuff from, i have been fortunate enough have talked to alot of the guys from some really good companies..

Paul, sledsolutions.com (TOP NOTCH, great guy)
Bryan, F-BombRacing.com (great guy, helped me out huge)
Aaron, netsleds.com (good friend, and goes the extra mile when i need him)
alot more out there, just a few i admire off the top of me head :)

Did they come up with an end cap to go on both sides of the bumper? Or is it just a hollow tube that is exposed?

The design is to leave the ends open. Nothing that a local welder couldn't take care of for ya if you wanted it closed off.
