Had the cops show up at my house today. Seems someone called in to say that we had our beagle puppy(around 6 months) tied up in our yard all day without shade or water(he was inside the majority of the day)!!! Not sure, they may have said it happens alot...he does spend lots of time outside, we have 2 kids and the dog can get excited.

Mind you his cable is set so that he can go under the deck for shade, and there is a big old pail of water there too.

What really got me was it wasn't even hot today, maybe 80 with a nice breeze and the dog just lays out and naps in the sun.

What the F, really I wish I knew who called me in....hope they don't see me when the dog gets snippy and ends up meeting my hand on his snout.

Am I right in being pissed? Chit it's not like I leave the hound outside all day in the blazing heat with no food or water for weeks on end. Also maybe this friendly neighbor would like to see what a beagle is like when he is kept inside a house all day long.

I had this happen once the cops know who it is and if you say to document who is calling and there is no violation you have the right to file herasment charges .

My neighbor is an angry drunk who yells at my dogs and gets mad when they bark at him.He called the animal cops once.I meet all the standards for my dogs so they said there was really nothing they could do but let me know someone complained.I explained I knew who it was and told them what he was doing.They went next door and told him if he continued to provoke the dogs HE would be fined.

hahaha, i got a note on my door a few months ago saying i was a selfish animal abuser and my dog deserves better and would be happier with a family that loved her (dog's a he), etc etc etc. No name or unit#, just an anonymous note.

I had taken that monday off from work, had the dog with me all morning running errands, went riding in the evening and left him at home. Got back and found that note on my door.

Laughed it off, pretty sure I know who did it. Lady that wrote it doesn't know anything about me or the dog, and had obviously just made a general observation.

Don't have much respect for anonymous chickensh¡ts like that.

arn't ppl just retarted..??? I live pretty quite area probbaly 2 out of 3 ppl or so around us have dogs, probably everyone on the street knows me.. so my dog gets off his leash, some F*$%" calls the cops and has them haul my dog to the pound.. Who ever called said of its his dog,and gave the cop my cell phone number... people suck. and summer...:beer;

Then when I went to pick the dog up cops "couldnt' tell me who called it in.... hmm.. they dont have caller id? probably a smart decision on the cops part cuz I know I woulda got in someones face about doing that.

Glad I dont live in your area my dogs live outside from morning to dark everyday im home I would be put in jail by now
