Sledding is way down for me this year. Actually have more miles on the trail sleds ( riding with the kids ) than I do on the mountain sled. Only two days with the Dragon and had a hard time finding powder. Add to that, the ever increasing costs, and I just refuse to spend the money to ride crappy snow.

I still haven't put the M8 back together, blown primary.
Kids polaris 120 and yamaha 340 fan have about 200 mile on, around our 5 acres with marginal snow/grass.

2 weeks to the mountains, m8 is going to be all new this year. replaced all the crap that didn't work last year. clutch, reverse, skid, hood...

About 1500km should be able to put on another 1000 km at least . About average. Never get out as much as one would like. Most of those have been in deep snow. Saterday I burnt 53 liters in 110 km.

We have only made one trip this year so far. It's not the snow that has slowed us down but the kids's sports schedule. We usually just watch the weather and try to get in town just in front of a storm but the basketball schedules have not let us plan another trip. Spring break is right around the corner !!!! >>>>.

Im way down from average season. Im praying for one last ride out west. Just wait and hope for spring dump.

I'm down. Just when things started to get good and a solid protective base was in place, the weather changed, stopped snow and got hot. Now the base is back to where it was in the middle of February. Strange year.

On a positive note, it has been the earliest I have started riding my dirtbike.

i don't want to brag but my season has been great this season and it started off 1 week earlier than my sled riding friends only bummer was while doing vids of my friends hillclimbing i was hillclimbing at least 5 times more than them and overheated one of my 04 skidoo rev 800 pistons last fri, so this wkend while they will be going sledding in at least 91 in of snow (aprox 12 in of new in last 3 days) i will be at work making money to pay for rebuild, i will be using my 2000 skidoo 700 next week so i can remember what the old suspention feels like, got well over 1000 miles in this season and might be going thru july here in western washington. last year stopped at may 31st and still had 4 to 5 ft where we normally go. this year looks about the same so far maybe a little more snow than same time last year.:face-icon-small-hap

I'll give an update....

Started out kinda weak with a long drought of crappy snow in December and January to early Feb, but then came back really strong and have had some good snow since. Right now I am just over 800 miles and it looks like we will easily have another 6+ weeks of regular 'spring' riding... with that I should finish out the year right around 1,000 miles or more. Last year we ended on July 2nd, and right now there is a LOT more snow in the upper elevations than there was this time last year!:D

Well... after teadious calculations... I am at par for now compared to last year..... I have 73 days on the seat and roughly 3400 miles (+ or - a few hundy miles).... I had to quit early last year due to knee surgery and a few other ailments.... This year I will hopefully finish out the season up as I see that I will be riding for a few more weeks.

Now to add up all the fuel costs and repairs... :face-icon-small-con

Snow Level 138% above average this year

It has been one of the longest seasons to date, equivalent to 2007.
Still riding fresh snow on a regular basis. It's still winter up here.
Snow levels are 138% above normal.
3000 miles on the sled since Mid December.

The pics are from Saturday May 19th, 2012. Spring riding is great.

Cheers

I'm still going riding... haha

Planning on going out this coming Tuesday. Might have to ride some dirt to get in but the snow should still be good! I was in school this winter so couldn't ride as much.
