Can you remind us what you did to drop weight to save some back reading?
Is your sled a 165? It seems guys were weighing stock 154s at 540-542lb wet https://www.snowest.com/forum/threads/alpha-one-154-weight.444221/. Add 5lb for 165. It doesn't quite add up or seem apples to apples. The 43lb loss seems optimistic when you added heavier bumpers, running boards, a wrap, additional ice scratchers and still have the headlight.
SSI titanium can,SSI y-pipe, Jaws pipe,bdx lite weight gear, bdx front end, billet spindles, bdx chaincase cover, removed foam. Team tied secondary. Narrowed handle bars. Don’t have a complete breakdown of all the individual parts for weight loss.
Is it possible to get to sub 500?
Yes. I've done a few variations of build lists and If you're going for pure weight savings you can get below 490 with the stock fuel tank. If you did the small Skinz 8 gallon fuel tank/seat combo can be way less.
Little late but on the snow flap that you trimmed did you have to remove the taillight all or can you rivet around it?
