Air Frames

I don't know that I quite agree with that statement...to me it speaks amazingly to them as a company. They are not willing to sacrifice quality for quantity on a product that they know they have already sold. And then to top that off they didn't bs you at all. They didn't keep you on the hook wondering. It's gotta be tough to tell a customer who's buisness is your livelihood that your too backed up to handle their order right away. Could be just me but personal integrity just speaks loads to me.

And yes my airframes have been on back order since June. If I have to ride with stock boards till their ready o well. It the boards I want so I'll wait rather than do it twice. They are the best stock boards I've been on already.
I get what you're saying, I agree that quality is more important than quantity, and I'm set on their bumper, so that's why I am paitently waiting for my bumper. They do make a great product, thats why I chose skinz in the first place, I just wonder why that if they have so much work that products are not being shipped for 3 months, why they can't afford to hire a few more people and speed things up? The waiting is hurting their business because instead of waiting people are just buying better boards or whatever and canceling their order for airframes.

I did install a couple pairs of airframes on my buddys new Assaults and they are prettly slick. I can see why so many people want them.

I understand the quality issues, and I agree it is key importance. But.... Were talking bending, cutting, welding, not open heart surgery. I know their was talk of them having a hard time hiring good help, and I'm guessing that's the major set back. Could just be a poor area to find a good $10-12/hr. Fab laborer?

LOL 10-12 bucks an hour? who ever works for that little needs to come out to the bakken oil field area in ND and eastern MT...MCDs starts out at 15 bucks an hour....IMO a fabricator, welder 18 to 20 bucks an hour...and that s a cake job working in a building.

Skinz is extremely overloaded. Moving into a new shop, lack of help, new sled models, and worst of all - ALL OF US BOTHERING THEM ON A DAILY BASIS!

Things are backed up everywhere - I speak from firsthand experience. The best products are worth waiting for. I know it's hard - We wait for inventory as well.

It becomes even harder when the glorious white begins to fall.

Skinz makes no qualms about ordering from a dealer - they prefer it that way. Every order, and every call that comes into the factory slows production.

If you have a good dealer, they should have the product on hand or be responsible for an accurate shipping date. This leaves The Skinz crew to do what they do best...

I agree with your statement, but unfortunately in this day and age a three month lead time is unacceptable to the consumer as a whole. It looks like a tremendous product, but I know I would look else where if it took three months to get them. Think about it, in the 19th century people could order something from the Sears catalog and have it sooner than 3 months. I am hoping they can find a way to remedy the situation and still stay in business. I fear that if the lead times continue, the demand will fall for their product. Never a good thing when that happens.

that is exactly what will happen if they don't figure out a way to get them out in a timely manner. i deal with stuff like this at work all the time. one manufacturer we compete against is running 16 weeks on thier product, probably the best product in this particular segment, but people can't and will not wait, so they come to us as we can do it in 5 weeks. our quality is no less than thiers but thier noise critera beats ours by a bit. thats why they are so popular.
