Aftermarket product short comings

Who else is waiting on aftermarket parts but can't get a straight up answer on when they will be available? I mean seriously a lot of these products pre sell. And these company's don't even have available with the season weeks away.(what have they been doing all summer?) Not like I ordered these parts last week. I am talking a month plus on some of the stuff.

I for one and I am sure a good percentage of us cure the addiction to ride by dropping cash into our sleds. We all want our rides ready to go for the first snow flakes. But I am getting frustrated.

I am not purchasing these items from a consumer level either most of this stuff is all direct buy from a dealer level and this is ridiculous.

C&A BX skis-2-3 weeks out was told that 2 weeks ago:mmph:
Camoplast X3-no eta:crazy:
skinz next level products-no eta (same old story from skins)
fox float3 evol R- shipped today :face-icon-small-hap
straightline performance-no eta

I just don't understand the logistics and ownership of marketing new products and not being able to deliver product to the consumer.

The problem in small buisness is overhead! Some of these company's are big but it still costs allot to purchase or manufacture 1xxx sets of bars before they even revile them to us, soooo they wait to sell 1xxx sets of bars then start to make them because it doesn't hit them as hard in the pocket.

Another thread similiar to this in the General snowmbiling section. I say if you can get it somewhere else go there. There not all like that. I have run into this also. Seems to me some of these companies get too big for their britches, and you can usually tell within the first 3 seconds of a phone conversation, but again there are some really great places to buy from, so shop around and be flexable. We sledders tend to be impatient at times. Season is short and we get excited, so i say give em time, but in the mean time have a back up plan so you can hit another avenue if you need to.

Our sh!ty economy has slowed every business down. Who wants to stock a ton of parts that may not sell, so they place orders with the mfgr/vendor as needed. We all want the lowest price, so if they stock an item bought when the market price was high nobody wants to pay what it cost them, let alone get enough profit to keep the doors open.

I live in Alaska where almost nothing is in stock, "We can order it for you" is the norm.

Its one thing to be a small business and not stock a 1000 of the same thing, understandable.

Its another thing to say you are going to do something and not do it! if you cant do it in the time frame asked just say so.. there are other options for the end user. Nothing worse than being told one thing and then watching the season go by becasue you werent told the truth upfront.
