Actic Man April 8-12, 2009

Went for a 'Test & Tune' rip today... everything checked out great. Until i destroyed my bulk-head.

I'm gonna pull it out a little and install some 440 braces... all this sled has to last me is another 20-30 days.

Got a report from my brother who has been up @ arctic man since saturday... snow is great... higher elevations its wind blown some... he also noted that there seems to be a lack of porta-jon's... ohwell.

Departing tomorrow early afternoon!

Here is to a safe weekend for all who are up there or are headed that way. For our fellow snow westers who can't make it I will throw a few logs on the fire and raise my glass. We're leavin tonight ETA 2 in the AM, like we always do. Stop by in 352-354 (I think) for a cold one and the fire will be hot.

Is anybody leaving Thursday night or Friday morning? I am hoping to have my sled together soon (could be wishfull thinking) but I am still optimistic. I am looking for a ride or can drive and looking for a carpool. I have a sled, 2 bags,few gas cans and a cooler... and live in Palmer. Thanks, Dasha

they didnt have the cross country. there wernt enought entrys, and i thought the snow sucked it was hard and wind blown up high and some little fluff down in the valleys.... they did have a drag race friday night that was fun to watch. a 13 year old buy on a 2002 yamaha srx 700 was kicking but for a few rounds that got the crowd going
