A story from cooke

Hey Augy, maybe you should get your story straight and truthful before you get everyone so upset. And for the rest of you maybe you shouldn't be so quick to judge from something someone typed up.
If this was the hill I'm thinking it was, we had been playing on it before you guys even arrived.
_______________________________________________________________
Yes there were tracks on the hill before us, but we rode there for 10 15 minutes before we saw you guys.
_______________________________________________________________
We went all the way to the top, took some pics, some of us dropped all the way back down and some of us played around on some of the shelfs 1/2 way down. As for, we all had new sleds, I'll have you know mines a '98 XC 700 converted into a mountain sled. Nothing special. There were other sleds in the group that are not new also. Get your s*** straight.
________________________________________________________________
Ok they were all nice fancy sleds.

________________________________________________________________
I believe we were in that area a good 15-20 mins. before you guy's came along.
________________________________________________________________
Did not know you owned that spot.
We were supposed to know you were there first even though you weren't there when we arrived. DOH!

________________________________________________________________

As for the jumping. I was one of them, and when I get a chance to air it out and land in the deep, I do it. Around where I live, ya land on the dirt most of the time. Maybe you just don't have the BALLS to do it.
________________________________________________________________

Maybe I couldn't because you went over it fifteen gazillion times in a row.

________________________________________________________________

If you were on that hill before us, I can guarentee we would have just kept going onto another spot as we do every time we ride.
_________________________________________________________________

But you didn't.

________________________________________________________________

We don't like it when people do that to us, so why would we do it to someone else. Even if something is already tracked up and no one is there we still go find somewhere else where theres fresh non tracked powder.
I couldn't ask for for a better bunch of guys to ride with either. Alway's willing to help out, no attitudes, and alot of fun.
By the way Augy, nice helmet. Just next time get your story straight. And if your not sure, don't say it at all.

It is a nice helmet I like the looks. You didn't point out anywhere where my story was wrong.

So your point is:

#1. We should have known that when we got to the riding area in question and nobody was there that you had been there already?

#2. You don't like people making fun of the stickers on your sleds?

#3. Because you had been there at some point earlier in the day, it was okay for you buddy to nearly ram Aug on a hill?

#4. Just because Aug noticed that quite a few of the sleds in your group were fairly new, it was incorrect for him to generalize and say "a bunch of new sleds"? What do you expect? He rides a '99 Mountain Max and I was on a '91 phazer (my new sled ain't running yet.) 90% of the sleds on the mountain are new compared to his.

Oh, and you can jump all you want. Good for you... that's what I like to do too (just not on the phazer. lol!). I'd rather do that than climb hills.

Most of your group was well behaved and we too go on when somebody is already on a hill. It's just common courtesy and I commend you for exercising it as well. Aug just has an issue with the guy who almost rammed him.

That I cannot answer, I think was playing around about half way up on a shelf or aleast nothing that I seen. Knowing the rest of the guy's, I highly think none of them would have done that. Not even to one of us in the group. Thats just not right.
Augy better get his story straight.

Since you are so sure nobody in your group would do such a thing..............is it possible your group is not the one in question. Maybe YOU should get all the facts before getting all defensive.

Yep I see where this is going with you Augy. Your alway's right and everyone else is alway's wrong. I feel sorry for your friends and family. Or do you have any.
No we don't own the hill, and you don't either. I think you just need to tell the truth.

By all means tell your side of your buddy almost ramed me.

We had 5 people in our group and all of them saw the guy from your group riding a dark colored m-or f-series cat with fastline (or something like that) stickers all over it almost hit Aug. It's not like it's that big of a deal anyways... **** happens, but don't deny it since you weren't even there.

Maybe the guy wasn't even with your group?

FastLane Inc I bet, they are a company that specialize in Cat Parts..Think the guy's name is Eric I talked to ordered a Air Cleaner for my Diesel..seemed like good guy's but ya never know. Cooke is a mad house sometimes compared to how it used to be years ago when we started riding there.

You keep bashing him and telling him to tell the truth but your not really backin up your own story here.
How about stop acting 12 with the name calling and tell your side.

just because the sled had a sticker on it doesn't mean he was from that company! got it!

I have run into people that like to play on the same hill as I'm climbing and then I usually go have a talk with them! Simply remind them the one man on the hill rule or else and go about the climbing! I have also had people tell me that the reason they rode up the hill behind me was because the avy danger wasn't that bad! Ya that is when a guy gets pizzy WOW!

Just be safe and have fun!

Yeah, nobody was implying that the guy was from Fastlane. The stickers being mentioned was just to identify the guy. Heck, I don't think I'd even have a problem with two people on that hill since it's just a little bugger. And we know that it's not "our" hill. I think the whole point of this thread was Aug saying he didn't like that the guy came up behind him and almost hit him as he was turning out. Like KJP said though, it's all about having fun and maintaining a reasonable level of safety (this is snowmobiling... it's never gonna be perfectly safe.)

And yes, I'm working on my post count.:face-icon-small-blu

I have to agree. That is like saying "A guy in a Ford hit me, or a guy with SLP stickers". Were there other stickers on it as well? First you go off making it sound like the whole group, then we read later that is was only one guy. Ranting is ok, but putting it on a public forum can lead to many misconceptions. Who has the time to type all the bad experiences they have? I watched a buddy of mine almost get hit when he was stuck on a hill by some crazy guy coming up full throttle on a blown Apex, you will always encounter something at some point. The way you handle it usually makes the difference.
If we spent as much time fighting the tree huggers as we do in this thread, we would be gaining riding territories rather than losing them.

Let it go already....

Like KJP said, ride and have fun.

Safety has to be first or else its not worth it!
Other then that will you two stop your little boy games (he did, you did, he didn't, you might have). I mean the point has been made. The season is early and if this is how we start?...................... well then grab the popcorn:p

Lately I have been packing a pistol when I ride

Never know when your goin to see a bobcat, gotta fill my tags still! what better way than to see one sledding :)

Lee, you fix that whole short track problem on your IQ yet? cant be giving guys the finger riding the phazer with the darth helmet, just wont fly :D

The whole point was I know it is early in the season, you guys just spent how much on your sleds and they are all nice and clean.... But really pull your heads out of your bungholes and think when you are riding.
He might have hit me sideways and cut my ankle off who knows. JUST THINK!:D it helps
As far as the stickers there might have been more but I just had to laugh seeing FAST stickers on a sled, had to give him 20 more hp.

As far as the none res thing that was just stupid do you honestly think if the greenies wanted to close say cooke and all of the Montana sledders protested it would make a differance? No! Maybe if every sledder not just the locals said something it could make an impact. Non res help keep every snowmobile place open. They do it by buying there gas, eating and sleeping there, that is how these places live not by the yokles who don't spend half that kind of money.
