Seen that on CNN earlier today. Said its weight was at 500#s, 16 3/4" foot and fingers at 11". Just watch, they'll now put these on the endangered species list and close up all of the northwest along with Georgia,....swell.

I heard about this.. That would be crazy if its true. I will def. be on edge when hunting or camping.. hell the more I think about it. the more I hope its false, casue the thought of those things actually walking the woods if freaky..

Hell, They aren't endangered! I have six of them in the freezer. They make a good layer between My Spotted Owls and Bald Eagles. Keeps them from getting freezer burnt between Holidays!

Simple DNA test will classify it, and determine it's genetic differentiation from humans. It will either come back as something recognizable, or it will come back a member of the great ape linage, and a deterministic date of divergence will be easily determined. That's if they let scientist take a whack at it. It would easily be the most studied specimen in existence today. My guess is just after the press conference, it will mysteriously disappear. Maybe they bagged a space alien, looks like Chubaca from starwars to me.
