800 pipe temp probe options

I got a broken wire on my 16 axys, can i just solder inline a resistor or does any one know of a automotive or aftermarket replacement, pol wants 250 bucks , ouch

If Babbits will send parts to BC, they list the EGT Probe for $160. I do not know what that will be in Canadian $$$ though.
